The Airbnb host of the property I rented is asking for an additional $[redacted] to cover damages: $[redacted] for smoking, $[redacted] for a dented dryer, and $[redacted] for extra cleaning. I find the $[redacted] cleaning fee excessive as I expected the housekeepers to handle it. I diligently cleaned the trash and placed it outside, contrary to the host's claims. The smoking charge is also unreasonable, as the smell can be removed. Regarding the $[redacted] for the dryer, no one used it except for one load in the washer. I am open to paying a smaller sum, but $[redacted] seems excessive because most issues can be resolved easily.

I signed up for Airbnb on my PC three weeks ago using [redacted] When I tried to communicate with my host, I had to use the app on my Android phone, which defaulted to [redacted] However, I am unable to reply to my host's messages through my PC email link. I've attempted to change my app email to [redacted], but it says it's already in use, even though it belongs to me.

I have a question about completing a reservation on Airbnb through a listing found on Craigslist. Can someone help me clarify if after the reservation, an Airbnb agent will meet me at the apartment to hand over the keys and have me sign the final contract? I've heard I will have 3 days to inspect the apartment, and if it doesn't meet my expectations, I can have my funds returned within 24 hours. Payment is said to be processed solely through Airbnb, ensuring that funds are only released to the owner once I agree to rent.
The reason for my query is my interest in an apartment in the Tampa Bay area, listed on both Airbnb and Craigslist. Although it's not currently on Airbnb, the owner claims to be registered with the platform and insists that payments will go through Airbnb.
I would appreciate confirmation if these procedures are standard and safe before I proceed with the transaction scheduled for tomorrow morning, October 2, [redacted].

Our stay in Maui in a camper van was absolutely terrible. The host provided a cash refund without any hesitation, apologized for the situation, and I believe Airbnb should refund the fees for this reservation due to the circumstances. This experience has led to unexpected expenses, and I regret booking with Airbnb. I wish to describe the poor condition of the van to prevent others from facing the same issues. I hope that this listing will be removed from Airbnb to avoid any more incidents like ours. Despite the host promising we were the last renters, the van is still available for booking on the platform.

I would like to report an individual named Anastasia Maria Jean who is leasing a room at FLAT 11, 5 PRINCESS ROAD, NW65AL LONDON from my property illegally. As the lawful tenant, I am concerned that she is attempting to evict me by changing the locks and conducting business with Airbnb. The police were called on 01/10/[redacted], with reference number [redacted]19, and upon entering the property, we discovered the illegal tenant was housing individuals who rent from your company. This situation caused distress to your tenants, as one of them had difficulty communicating in English but managed to explain the situation to the police to avoid arrest. There are two owners, a husband and wife. The husband, who is 72, walks around shirtless, often intoxicated, mingling with young patrons. The wife is rarely present, making communication challenging. Waiting six days for her response is frustrating. The husband enters my place without permission, which is intrusive. They assisted in renting a scooter, leading to an accident, but deny involvement, pretending it never happened. The husband rudely intervenes with my visitors, causing financial losses. His behavior around my property is unsettling, and his attempts to make me drink are inappropriate. He fails to show me the power meter location, which is suspicious. Additionally, bugs infest my expensive laptop, impairing its functionality. I demand a full refund, a replacement laptop, and compensation for the money lost due to his interference.

I have tried calling Airbnb multiple times. Essentially, my guest did not show up yesterday. My communication with Jayrod has made me uneasy about hosting him. Earlier today, Airbnb assured me they would "modify" the reservation to avoid penalties. They mentioned contacting him, ensuring he doesn't stay tonight, not getting charged, and assisting him in finding alternative accommodation. However, Jayrod is now informing me that he is en route. I recently stayed at an Airbnb where I suspect I was scammed and deceived, which made a mockery of Airbnb. I hope others do not represent their properties in such a dishonest way. Let me explain, I generally love using Airbnb! The concept itself is fantastic. I appreciate interior design, which adds to the experience. It's great to stay in a space that someone cherishes. But most importantly, customers should be treated well, and we should be able to trust the Airbnb hosts. However, this Airbnb felt like a stage set or a TV show set. The furniture seemed like props, and the whole place was uncomfortable. The linens felt rough and fake, pulling at my skin. It seems like the hosts were trying to cheat the system at every opportunity. They charged a $65 cleaning fee (which I agreed to), yet expected me to do most of the cleaning before leaving, which was surprising and disappointing. I have had wonderful experiences with Airbnb in the past, creating lasting memories and visiting beautiful locations. However, my recent stay was unsettling. I am grateful I only stayed one night. It is disheartening how they treated their guests. I hope this clarifies my concerns about the Airbnb experience.
