On April 14th, my itinerary on Air India from Ahmedabad to Mumbai was cancelled due to operational reasons. A new itinerary was issued, departing at 7:20 AM and arriving at 8:30 AM, both at Terminal 2. I have been confirmed on an alternative flight with special services including a no-smoking aisle seat, Asian vegetarian meal, and wheelchair assistance. The subsequent flights from Mumbai to Delhi and then from Delhi to O'Hare-Chicago, Illinois, USA are also confirmed, each with special service requests. For flight AI [redacted] to O'Hare-Chicago, I have requested a no-smoking seat. Kindly contact the Air India office for further assistance.

I contacted Air India's ecommerce department on April 16 regarding a refund for Business class LTC tickets for my family. I had canceled the tickets and provided the payment details through two cards. I mentioned the case ID numbers and requested an early refund. Air India responded on April 9, explaining delays due to COVID-19 and seeking understanding during the lockdown. They assured resolution despite the challenging circumstances. I initially contacted Air India on March 31 to cancel Business class LTC tickets booked for my family. Due to lockdown, I couldn't reach their offices or call centers, so I emailed my request with the necessary payment and identification details for a prompt refund process. Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to bring to your attention my upcoming travel itinerary from Delhi to Hong Kong via Kuala Lumpur on 20th June. The first leg of my journey will be with Air India Express flight (IX1182) departing from Delhi to Kuala Lumpur at 08:05 AM (Indian Standard Time). Subsequently, I will be flying with Cathay Pacific (Dragon Air) on flight KA0734 from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong departing at 17:45 on 21st June [redacted]. As this trip is for an extended work assignment in Hong Kong, it is crucial for me to have all my luggage accompany me throughout the journey. Could you kindly verify if Air India Express flight (IX1182) allows for luggage check-in? On their website, it indicates 20 Kgs for check-in luggage and 7 Kgs for cabin baggage. Since I will be traveling alone without any companions, this information is vital for me. I would like to highlight that as per the regulations at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, transit passengers like myself are restricted from exiting the transit area and cannot claim our checked baggage personally at the airport. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate your assistance in facilitating the transfer of my luggage from Air India to Cathay Pacific for my connecting flight. Please advise me on the necessary procedures to ensure a smooth transition of my baggage between the two airlines. I booked an Air India flight from Delhi to Dharamshala through MakeMyTrip. The original schedule was flight AI-[redacted] to Chandigarh at 11:15 AM, followed by flight AI-[redacted] to Dharamshala at 03:05 PM. However, I received a message from Air India informing me that the Delhi flight AI-[redacted] is rescheduled to depart at 06:05 PM, which won't allow me to catch the Chandigarh flight at 3:05 PM. I request a replacement flight from Delhi to reach Chandigarh on time for the connecting flight. Please address this matter promptly and with urgency. I am disappointed with this schedule change. On August 1st, I received an email informing me that one of the four legs of my or my wife's flight itinerary was canceled with no suggested solutions. I attempted to reach the UK call center but was advised to email the ticket office. After sending an email on August 3rd, followed by another to ecommerce on August 11th, I received a busy response from [redacted] on August 17th. Despite their delay, I have not heard back since. Today, on August 28th, my attempts to contact the UK call center have been unsuccessful as there is no response after the initial connection. I am unable to manage my booking online due to a schedule change. My frustration has grown, prompting me to seek a refund by canceling my booking. My reference number is YLDNH.

As a 58-year-old single woman, I arranged for my son to return from the UK on October 22 with my luggage. Prior to his journey, we contacted AIR INDIA at [redacted]7 to inquire about additional baggage charges. An AIR INDIA representative informed us that if my son presented his student visa and college card, he could carry 23 kg of extra luggage at no cost. Despite confirmation from another representative, my son faced challenges at the check-in counter at London Airport. His third suitcase was confiscated, and he was charged an additional [redacted] pounds. I called customer support at the same number but experienced unhelpful interactions. Eventually, AIR INDIA officials admitted their mistake and suggested I visit their office in New Delhi to resolve the matter. I seek reimbursement of the [redacted] pounds lost due to the misinformation provided by AIR INDIA staff.

Subject: Issue with Entering Passenger Details in Last Name/Surname Tab Dear Team, I am encountering difficulties while trying to fill in the passenger details on the online booking platform. Specifically, when entering my wife's full name, "S.Pricilla," which includes the initial "S," I face a roadblock in the Last Name/Surname tab. I wish to reserve tickets for the IXZ-MAA sector for my family. In official government identification documents such as the Aadhar Card and PAN card, her name is consistently recorded as S.Pricilla without expansion of the initial "S." Unfortunately, I lack documentation supporting an expansion of the initial. The website prompts me to input a valid surname, preventing me from completing the booking process. I urgently seek guidance on the correct procedure to move forward with the booking. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Warm regards, Manas Biswas.

I need help contacting Air India to book a flight to Sydney under the Vande Bharat Mission. When I called customer care on April 4th, a representative mentioned a flight scheduled for April 10th, with bookings starting on April 5th or 6th. He provided me a number for booking but I did not get a response when I called on April 5th. I contacted customer care again, and this time I was informed that there were no available seats on the flight. As a permanent resident of Australia stranded in India, I am surprised by the lack of clarity in the booking process. It's frustrating that proper information about booking openings is not being communicated effectively. I hope this issue can be resolved.

I made a flight booking for December 23, [redacted], which was canceled due to a travel ban. It has been 5 months, and I have not received my refund despite being assured by multiple staff members that the refund is being processed. This delay is unacceptable, and I have contacted various departments via email without receiving any replies. I am losing patience with this situation as it is frustrating to be treated this way as a customer. Kindly address this issue promptly, as I require my refund immediately.

Good evening, I have a upcoming flight with Air India Star Alliance AI [redacted] in economy class on 22 June [redacted] departing from Delhi Airport. As a first-time flyer, I have a few questions: 1. Please provide clarification on the maximum free baggage allowance for both carry-on and checked-in luggage. My e-ticket states a collective allowance of 30 kgs. 2. Can I carry my laptop separately in hand instead of including it in my hand baggage? 3. How can I check for any changes in the flight's departure schedule? 4. Am I allowed to pack a non-magnetic padlock and a non-rechargeable battery-powered epilator in my checked-in luggage, with the epilator's batteries removed? 5. What is the maximum number of dry batteries permitted in hand baggage? I appreciate your prompt response as I plan to depart on 21 June. Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to request a change to my ticket. My booking reference is Z0JZ8, and the passenger's name is Sonika Rathi. The original travel date is from Frankfurt on August 13, [redacted]. I would like to reschedule my flight from Bengaluru to Delhi to now fly from Bengaluru to Kolkata on August 14. I have tried contacting Air India multiple times, but I have been unsuccessful in reaching the ticketing department. However, an agent has already added the Kolkata ticket to my itinerary, which still needs confirmation from the ticketing department. Could you please assist in confirming the rescheduled flight and provide me with the updated ticket? Thank you, Sonika Rathi

Dear Manager, I have been attempting to reach a customer service representative for the past hour and a half to reschedule my Air India flight with the booking reference J5F9F. Unfortunately, each call lasts around 30 minutes, only to end up back in the queue waiting to speak with someone who can assist with changing my flight details. The customer service experience provided by Air India is disappointing, especially considering the airline's importance in our country. The website is difficult to navigate, the 'manage your booking' section lacks the option to reschedule flights, and the chat feature does not offer any help with flight changes. I am requesting to reschedule my flight with the booking reference J5F9F (originally scheduled for 21st August at 16:45 from Delhi to Dubai) to AI [redacted] on 27th August at 17:00 for the same route. I was informed by a customer service representative that there may be a fare difference and possibly a change fee. Kindly assist me with changing my flight as this needs to be done by 2 PM today. Please contact me at +[redacted]59 if you require any further clarification or information. I eagerly await your prompt response as this matter is time-sensitive. If you have any updates regarding travel information for Dubai, kindly inform me at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Nishtha Lamba

I've been struggling to contact Air India Airlines for weeks regarding canceling my flight and getting a refund for a booking in October. Despite multiple calls, emails, and tweets, I have not received any response or help. When I do manage to get through, the call disconnects after being on hold for over an hour and some numbers lead to full voicemail boxes that cannot accept messages. I urgently need assistance with canceling my upcoming flight, but all attempts to reach the airline have been fruitless.

Hello, I made a booking for an Air India flight from London Heathrow to Kolkata on 20th November'21, returning on 5th December'21 for myself, my wife, and daughter. The passengers' names are Swapan, Rina, and Sudipa Bhattacharjee. The transaction date was 28th September'21. I booked online using a credit card on the same date, and the total cost of the flight for the three of us is £[redacted].11. However, upon reviewing my card statement, I noticed that £[redacted].11 has been charged twice for unknown reasons. I kindly request an investigation into this matter and appreciate it if the excess charge of £[redacted].11 could be refunded to my credit card promptly. Thank you in advance for your attention to this issue. Kind regards, Swapan Bhattacharjee.

Hello, I am a loyal Air India traveler. I had a business class round-trip ticket booked from EWR to Mumbai for October 6th, but the flight got canceled. We were informed that we could change the travel date without any fees. The flight route was altered to now go via Delhi and Ahmedabad, which I didn't want due to being a senior citizen with health concerns. I had specifically chosen the direct flight to Mumbai at a higher cost for this reason. After contacting the AI office in India, I was told the new schedule for direct flights to Mumbai would be available in November. I tentatively booked for December 2nd hoping for the direct route. However, I recently found out that the direct flights to Mumbai won't be operational until the end of the year. All flights from the US to India will be via Delhi. Given these changes, I prefer to return to India as soon as possible without any change fees or fare differences. As this is caused by the airline, I am seeking assistance to rebook for new travel dates hassle-free.
