Hello, my name is Fatima. I was supposed to travel with Air Canada on November 22nd from Ottawa to Montreal, then from Montreal to Doha, and finally from Doha to Shiraz. Unfortunately, my flight was cancelled due to a technical problem. I was transferred to Montreal and given a hotel stay. As I am a wheelchair user, I couldn't collect my luggage and had to leave it at Montreal airport with the assurance that it would be safe. The next day, we continued our journey to Doha and then to Shiraz. Upon arriving in Shiraz after 4 days, I discovered my luggage had been opened, many items were damaged, my pearls were scattered, and some items like voltaren cream and vitamins were missing. This invasion of privacy and damage to my belongings was very distressing. I am requesting compensation for the destroyed luggage and hope such incidents can be prevented in the future. Please reach out to me at f a m s i a d [redacted] Dr lowercase at yahoo.ca. Thank you.

Upon arriving at the airport 90 minutes before my flight to Canada, I was asked for proof of vaccination and a negative PCR test by 2 staff members. As a Canadian citizen, I am aware that proof of vaccination is not mandatory to enter my home country. I had my negative PCR test ready but was denied boarding because I couldn't provide vaccination proof. The employees claimed I missed my flight as I didn't arrive 2 hours in advance, although it's not a legal requirement, just a recommendation. Despite explaining this, I was repeatedly told I couldn't board without proof of vaccination. I was left stranded, facing unhelpful staff, missing my flights to Canada and Ottawa, with no refunds or accommodations provided. I also haven't received compensation for the expensive PCR test I presented.

I have been reaching out to the customer service center for the past four days, but each time I end up waiting on hold for an hour without any resolution. I am currently experiencing a lot of stress as I am a student at UBC in India and have exams approaching. My travel date was on the 6th of December, and my bag with file reference YVRAC52708 and tag number AC043479 went missing on my original flight AC [redacted] to Vancouver. Despite the matter being escalated, there has been no assistance provided. When I landed in Bangalore, I was informed that my bag was supposed to have been sent from Vancouver to Delhi on AC 44, then from Delhi to Bangalore on Uk801. However, the bag never arrived in Bangalore, and the airline is unable to confirm its location. I have been unable to get helpful information from customer service and would appreciate if someone from AC 44 could confirm receipt of the bag in Delhi.

Hello, My flight from Casablanca to Montreal, then to Chicago and Milwaukee (AC0073) was canceled on August 30th. Due to Air Canada's flight suspension to and from Morocco, I had to book a new flight via Expedia - the most affordable option despite the inconvenience. I traveled to Dubai with my four children before heading to Chicago. I've been attempting to secure a refund through Expedia or Air Canada. Expedia advised me to seek the refund directly from Air Canada since they were the ones who canceled my flight. Kindly advise on the necessary steps to expedite the refund process. Thank you.

I'm currently organizing a trip from YYZ (Pearson International Airport) to CAI (Cairo International Airport), with the departure scheduled for January 2, [redacted], and the return set for February 14 or 15. I've learned about the new requirement to get tested in a third country before returning to Canada. As a Canadian citizen who is fully vaccinated, I'm trying to establish which transit countries offer the appropriate testing for re-entry into Canada. I'm also curious if Air Canada will accommodate passengers who are waiting for test results from the transit country.

I was scheduled to fly on December 4, [redacted], with reference number 2XDZYR, but I wasn't able to make it. I had previously purchased two extra bags online for $[redacted]. On December 8, I traveled with reference number 33LRJ3 and was charged again for the two extra bags despite showing my bank statement. I kindly request a refund of $[redacted] as I paid twice. - M. On November 13, [redacted], at 11:45 a.m., I was on Flight # AC [redacted] bound for Montreal when we were notified of a 30-minute delay. Unfortunately, the delay extended to over an hour causing me to miss my connecting flight, Air Canada AC832 to Brussels. As a result, I was rebooked but got stuck in Montreal for two nights. Air Canada arranged one night at the Courtyard Marriott but only covered the costs for one night and provided me with $20 Canadian dollars in coupons for meals. When I requested assistance for the second night, I was informed to pay upfront and seek reimbursement. Additionally, I had to undergo another Covid-19 test in Montreal and incurred expenses totaling $[redacted].00 Canadian, which included accommodation, meals, and testing. I am seeking reimbursement for these expenses from Air Canada. Thank you.

Hello, I am inquiring about the PCR Covid test requirements for travel from Ottawa, ON, to Mexico. If a PCR test is necessary, could you please confirm how far in advance it needs to be taken? I read a news report stating the requirement changed from 72 hours to 24 hours before boarding the flight. I would be grateful for your clarification as I am planning when to schedule my PCR Covid test appointment. Thank you.

I purchased a ticket in November [redacted], but due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't use it in December [redacted]. With the ongoing COVID-19 situation and border closures, I've been unable to travel. Even after numerous attempts, Air Canada hasn't provided a resolution regarding my refund. I'm frustrated with their unhelpful responses, especially since my $[redacted] ticket expires on January 1, [redacted]. Myrtle J. Email: [redacted]

Hello, my name is Rengarajan Kumar. I have been accepted into Humber College, Canada, and classes are starting on January 10. I haven't received my PPR yet. My flight with Air Canada is scheduled for December 30, [redacted], at 12:45 am. If I need to change my flight, I would have to pay around 3 Lakhs due to the high prices on that date. I kindly request a free date change. Thank you. Rengarajan Kumar

I requested a refund around 6 months ago, but I have yet to receive the money. Despite reaching out multiple times, I have not been given a clear answer regarding when I can expect the refund. After checking with my bank, there's no record of any payment from Air Canada. I would appreciate it greatly if this matter could be looked into, or if I could receive some form of proof of payment initially.

My friend has a flight scheduled for December 25th/26th, but she lives in Nigeria, so she's impacted by the current travel ban. She holds a student visa and is set to start classes on January 5th. We are uncertain about what will happen to our flight. Will we be able to rebook once the ban is lifted, or are we eligible for a refund? We are seeking clarification on the next steps for our flight if the ban persists. Thank you.

Hello, I am Leila Aalamian. I booked a round-trip flight on Expedia's website from Montreal to Vancouver departing on December 28, [redacted], and returning on January 12, [redacted]. I received a confirmation email allowing me to cancel for free until October 27, [redacted]. Due to personal reasons, I canceled on October 27 and was assured a refund within 2-8 weeks, which I received on November 25, [redacted]. However, Air Canada unexpectedly charged me again on December 8, [redacted]. Despite conversations with Expedia's customer service confirming my eligibility for a refund, the issue remains unresolved. I seek clarification as to why Air Canada recharged me after the refund. I have faced stress due to this situation, aggravated by my health condition, and request a full refund in accordance with both Expedia's and Air Canada's policies. I possess evidence of my eligibility for a refund and expect a resolution promptly. Thank you, Leila Aalamian

On December 13, [redacted], I bought a ticket under #[redacted], but it was mistakenly booked under the name of Tom Moloney instead of my son, Sean McWatt. After being unable to change the name, I reached out to the Virtual Assistant for help. They advised me to cancel the booking and book a new one, which I did under #[redacted]. They assured me the ticket would be canceled, and a refund would be issued to my Visa. Unfortunately, I have not yet received the refund. Although I understand the ticket is non-refundable, I kindly request a refund given the circumstances. Thank you for your attention. Tom Moloney.

Hello, We are scheduled to fly from Montego Bay to Toronto on January 13th and then from Toronto to Israel on the 15th. As we will be in Costa Rica, we won't be able to make it to Montego Bay in time. Is it possible to change our flight to depart from San Jose to Toronto? The specific date doesn't matter, as long as we have ample time to catch our flight to Israel on the 15th. Also, could you please confirm if PCR tests conducted in Costa Rica are accepted? I traveled from Toronto to Winnipeg on December 09, [redacted] with booking reference number 37DLXT on Flight AC263 scheduled at 12:35 pm. I paid $[redacted] for an overweight bag, which turned out not to be overweight. The refund couldn't be processed at the counter because I paid online. I am in need of my money urgently since I am currently job hunting. Assistance in obtaining my refund would be greatly appreciated.

Before my flight on Dec 19, [redacted], I reviewed Air Canada's "Travel Ready" section for testing requirements from Toronto (YYZ) to Basel (BSL), with a layover in Frankfurt (FRA). The website stated that a PCR OR Antigen test within 48 hours was sufficient. Relying on this information, I obtained an Antigen test the day before. Upon arrival at the airport, I was informed that a PCR test was actually needed for Switzerland. Despite explaining my situation, I was directed to get an emergency PCR test, which was nonexistent. After much back and forth, I was unable to check in or change my flight in time, resulting in a $[redacted] fee to rebook for Dec 21, [redacted]. I will be sure to get a PCR test ahead of time. I encountered frustrations trying to reach Air Canada for clarification due to their crashed site. If any assistance can be provided, it would be greatly appreciated.
