Subject: Unfortunate Experience with Acurite Alarm Clocks I am writing to express my disappointment with the alarm clocks I have purchased from your company. In early August, I ordered the Acurite 13024A1 Dual Alarm Clock from Amazon.com, but upon receiving and setting it up, I found the alarm feature to be barely audible. After contacting your department, I received a replacement which was Dead On Arrival. Subsequently, I ordered the Acurite Model [redacted] during a Labor Day sale. Although the clock is aesthetically pleasing, the alarm setting does not produce any sound when it is supposed to go off. I have now received another replacement, eagerly hoping it will function correctly. I am requesting a prepaid shipping label to return the non-functioning Model [redacted] Alarm Clock Weather Station for a full credit. Order Number: [redacted]73, Order Date: 09/03/[redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Richard R. Fegley [redacted] Denton Street Reading, PA [redacted]

Hello Acurite, I am an active expedition leader seeking a weather station for safety in local trip planning, specifically for accurate wind speed and direction. I am interested in models [redacted], [redacted], 01535S and M, [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted]. Your site lacks detailed information on components and model numbers. I seek clarity on which models best suit my needs. I do not require PC connectivity and need battery backup for display due to frequent power outages. I urge you to provide a detailed chart outlining the differences between stations, the corresponding display models, and components included. Please offer a comprehensive overview for easier comparison. This information would greatly assist me in making an informed decision. Subject: Frustration with Battery Replacement for Model [redacted] Weather Station Hello, I have a Model [redacted] Weather Station and have been struggling with frequent battery replacements every 3 weeks using heavy-duty AA and expensive rechargeable lithium batteries. Despite purchasing a Battery extension accessory to avoid climbing on the roof to change batteries, I have spent more on accessories and batteries than the unit itself cost. I have only used the weather station for 3 months and am considering connecting a 12 or 6 Volt Weatherproof DC Transformer directly to the unit instead of dealing with the battery holder on the pole. Unfortunately, my attempts to reach out to the company for support have been unsuccessful, so I will be posting my experience on Amazon as a review. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, R.D.

I have been replacing batteries every few weeks, using both heavy-duty AA batteries and expensive rechargeable lithium ones. I purchased a battery extension accessory from this company to avoid the hassle of changing batteries on my weather station mounted on the roof. However, despite the investment in the accessory and batteries, I've already spent more than the cost of the unit itself in just a few months. I would like to know if it's possible to eliminate the battery holder connected to the unit and instead use a 12 or 24 Volt weatherproof DC transformer. I have tried to reach out to the company through phone and email but have been unsuccessful. Therefore, I will be leaving this feedback on Amazon.

I purchased the Atomic Dual Alarm Clock model #[redacted] from Kohl's as a Christmas gift for my son. After he mentioned it was malfunctioning, we switched clocks, and now I've experienced it failing twice in the past two months. It stops working completely, requiring a restart by unplugging and replacing batteries. This is very inconvenient, especially when relying on the alarm. I registered the product today, but I don't have the original receipt. I have confidence in other Acurite products I own. I hope to have this one replaced with a reliable item that won't have these issues. Thank you, Juli Ghiselin.

Regarding order #[redacted]76, I purchased multiple items totaling $[redacted].78. Over the past week, I have tried to resolve this through numerous chats without progress, leading to significant frustration. I am hopeful for assistance in correcting this matter. As a new customer, I received a discount. During checkout, I was offered an additional five percent off for agricultural use but mistakenly selected the wrong option. I intended to benefit from the discount for using the products in our year-round greenhouse and organic gardens to manage the automatic watering system. Kindly apply the additional five percent discount for agricultural use to my order. I prefer to resolve this matter promptly without escalating it to public forums. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to speak with a live representative. Rectifying this error should be straightforward. I appreciate your attention to this issue.

I recently purchased a new AcuRite Rain Gauge, model 02445SBDI, which unfortunately does not work. Despite following the instructions in the manual meticulously, calibrating it multiple times, changing batteries, adjusting settings, and trying all options, the display remains stuck at 0.00 inches. I am incredibly frustrated and would appreciate a replacement for the faulty device or information about a reliable alternative. The lack of effective customer support on the website adds to my disappointment, as I have been a loyal customer of AcuRite for years and have always valued their products, even recommending them to my friends.

I bought a 5-in-1 device last autumn. After a few weeks, the monitors got stuck at 12 mph for hours. Despite restarting them, they didn't work properly again for 6 months. Recently, they indicated the batteries needed changing, surprising me as my previous solar weather station lasted 15 years on the same batteries. When the monitors finally showed the batteries had died and the outside data froze, I was about to replace them until one monitor started working after I accidentally unplugged it. Now, one monitor claims the unit is dead, while the other has been accurate for a month. Additionally, the wind blew off my wind cups. Customer service directed me to buy new ones despite the website stating they had a one-year warranty. I reached out about receiving replacements since I've only had the 5-in-1 for about 8 months, but haven't received a response after a week. I prefer to return everything in exchange for a more reliable device. - S.H.

On July 3, [redacted], I placed an order for an Atlas weather station, a high-definition touch screen display, remote monitoring, and a lightning detector totaling $[redacted].97 after a Fourth of July discount. The order number is #[redacted]34. Following the order, I received an email stating my order was canceled due to a refund I supposedly received, which I never got. Shortly after, another email detailed my purchase, including billing and shipping information. I've been experiencing challenges with placing orders, as on Father's Day, my valid credit card was flagged as invalid. Rest assured, my credit limit of $35,[redacted] was not a concern for this purchase. I'm puzzled about the status of this order and hope for a prompt resolution from your company. - Larry C.

On 3 September, I had a chat with a tech regarding my outside sensor/transmitter. Following their advice, I ordered a new one, installed it, but the information it sent back was inaccurate compared to the airport readings nearby. Even though the receiver and transmitter are now closely positioned, the temperature readings don't align. The upper reading on the transmitter shows 87 degrees and 53%, while the ambient reading at the lower level is 89 degrees and 50%. I believe they should match. Acurite insists this discrepancy falls within their "accuracy standards."

The support for my old Accurite hub has been discontinued, and to use my 5-in-1 weather station, which cost over $[redacted].00, I need a new hub. Even though they mentioned extending support for the old hub until February [redacted] and offering a replacement hub for $39.99, I never received this notice. Now, they are asking for over $[redacted].00 for the Accurite Access hub. I would have purchased the updated hub if I had known my original hub would no longer function and that I would have to pay almost three times the introductory price for the newer Accurite Access hub. I feel misled by this situation. I compared the cost of a brand new 5-in-1 weather station, which they are selling for $[redacted].00. I would appreciate being able to purchase the Accurite Access hub for the $39.99 price.

I recently installed my Acurite Atlas weather station. However, while setting up my Acurite Access device, I encountered an error stating the device must be connected and reporting data to claim it, despite it being connected and the status lights blinking. I have tried all suggested troubleshooting steps to no avail. I believe the Access device may be defective and am requesting a replacement to address this issue.

I recently bought a model [redacted] unit two months ago. Unfortunately, it's only displaying half of the inside temperature. I contacted your representative, Melissa, who mentioned that you won't honor the warranty because I bought it on eBay. However, the warranty manual does not mention any exclusion for eBay purchasers. I have already shared pictures of the unit and the purchase receipt with your representative. I believe that as the manufacturer, you should replace it. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Steve B.

I recently purchased one of your AcuRite weather stations to monitor outdoor conditions for my business. Unfortunately, the unit stopped working shortly after purchase, leaving me without temperature readings for my work trucks during the winter. I was disappointed to learn that the model has been discontinued and cannot be replaced. I am wondering if there is a possibility of receiving a discount on a new unit or if the company could consider providing a complimentary replacement. I spent a lot of time selecting the right weather station, and it's frustrating to be without one as winter approaches. I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - Kevin

I am looking to purchase a replacement wind speed anemometer for model [redacted] / [redacted]. The ordering process with you is proving to be quite challenging. Connecting via chat is also not easy. I purchased a WEATHER FORECASTER model 75077A3M on 11/19/19. Following the detailed instructions, the unit worked accurately for about eight days. However, it now has several issues. The outside temperature is consistently incorrect, showing 55F when it's really 78F. Despite changing the batteries multiple times, the problem persists. The date changes by itself to random dates like 1/9/74, and the clock alters the hours and minutes on its own. The only thing that remains accurate is the inside temperature. I previously owned an Acurite indoor/outdoor unit and was satisfied with it, unlike this unreliable "future forecast" model. I would appreciate being able to return this model and exchange it for a different one with a different program. Thank you for your assistance, looking forward to your response.

I need assistance with my new Weather Station and Lightning Detector. I received this as a gift and initially registered it as model [redacted] but discovered it's actually model [redacted]. Installed it on 12/25 facing south on my deck. The sensor and detector show good signal strength but I can't get any temperature, wind speed, or direction displayed. Tried resyncing and restarting the setup but still no data. The base station does not light up either when plugged in or on battery, despite pressing the light button. Tried different outlets to rule out electrical issues. Need help troubleshooting these problems as I am not very tech-savvy. Appreciate any guidance provided.

I bought a 5-in-1 weather station model 02033DI on December 23, [redacted], but I'm having trouble getting it to work. I've tried taking out the batteries on both the monitor and outdoor sensor twice now, and made sure the outdoor sensor is within the [redacted]-foot range. Both are set to the "A" setting. Before placing the sensor outside, I let it sit beside the monitor for about 30 minutes. Despite all this, it's still not working. What else can I try to make it work? Thank you in advance.
