An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Epson phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Epson staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Epson is Wednesday. The most busy day to call is Tuesday. Again, this is based on a sample of 1,389 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Thursday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Monday.

The best time to call

In summation, the best day to call Epson is Wednesday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Epson staffs the call center well on Wednesday.

Calling this Epson Customer Number

Jan 3, 2024

This phone number is only meant to be used for technical support from Epson, not for any other issue with Epson products. When you call, it says you've reached Epson's technical support line and that your call will be answered in the order it was received. This only works if you call between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific time on Monday through Friday, as the phone number doesn't have any automated system to assist you after hours.

Should you try outside of those hours, you get a message saying that Epson's technical support line is currently closed, and to call back during normal business hours. There isn't an option to escalate in case of an emergency; you simply have to call back when the line is open.

When I dialed during normal business hours, I found almost no wait time whatsoever. I was quickly connected to a representative and asked how they could be of assistance. I asked them where I could find ink for my Epson printer, as mine was starting to print lesser quality documents. The representative said he didn't personally know as he worked in technical support, and I'd need to connect with the sales team to find a place to get printer ink.

He then asked if I wanted to be transferred over to the sales team, and I said yes. Once he initiated the transfer, I ended the call as I'd completed the time with that phone number.

Overall, I thought this number could be very helpful if you're using it for its intended purpose. There's no wait time to worry about as long as you call at the right time, and you're immediately told which number you've called so you can decide if it's going to work for you. Having multiple numbers for the customer service department allows for faster service for those with real problems, and this number isn't set up with a choke point. If you call the wrong number for the problem you need, getting transferred over to another department is a simple proposition.

I found the representative to be pleasant to deal with. When he saw that he couldn't help me, he quickly handed me over to someone who could. He kept a positive, professional demeanor from start to finish during the call, and I didn't run into any issues during my time speaking with him. Were I to need help from the technical support team, I'd have no problem calling this phone number.
