If you need to save money, lowering your monthly bills is a good way to start. If you have Xfinity Mobile, you have a few different options for doing so, including switching plans, lowering your data rate, and qualifying for discounts and deals. Keep reading to learn more.

What You'll Need

If you sign up for both Auto Pay and paperless billing, you will get a discount of $10 a month off of your bill.
Before calling Xfinity about a customer retention deal, you should look into other carriers' deals and finding a cheaper one, so you can be specific when you talk to the Xfinity representative.

Go to the Xfinity home page.

Xfinity home page

Click the "Sign In" button on the right side of the navigation bar at the top of the page to sign in to your account.

Click the "View Bill & Transaction History" option.

Select the "Bill Details" option.

Click on your preferred saved payment method or add a new payment method.

Click on the check box beside "I agree to the Automatic Payments Terms & Conditions."

Enter your payment details.

Click on "Set Up."

You now have Auto Pay enabled.

Click on the "Billing & Pay" option in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

A drop down menu will appear.

Select the "Manage Paperless Billing" option.

Click "Turn On."

You now have paperless billing enabled as well. Your discount for having both Auto Pay and paperless billing enabled will begin within 45 days, which could work out to only appearing on the bill after your next upcoming bill.

Go to the Xfinity Mobile sign in page and sign in to your account.

Go to the Activity page.

To find a cheaper plan instead of reducing the amount of data used by your current plan, skip to step 18.

Select your Xfinity mobile line.

Click on "Manage to By the Gig."

Select a lower amount of data than the amount you are currently signed up for.

Confirm that you want to make the change.

This change should take place within 24 hours. The lower data level should translate into a lower bill each month.

Go to the Xfinity mobile plans page.

Find a plan that is cheaper than your current plan that still provides the minimum services you need then sign up for it.

By switching to a cheaper plan, you can significantly lower your monthly bill, although it will mean doing without some of the extras and add-ons that you may have grown accustomed to.

Conclusion

If you need help lowering your costs, call an Xfinity mobile customer service representative. The Xfinity mobile customer service call center is open 24 hours a day, every day. If you have been signed up for Xfinity mobile service for more than a year, and if you do not have a history of late payments, you can try telling them that you are thinking of switching to a different carrier and asking if there are any customer retention deals that you could qualify for.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for XFINITY Mobile Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
