WestJet's Flight Change Policy

If you make the changes within 24 hours of booking, you can make the changes without having to pay a fee, though you will still have to pay any difference in fares. If you make the changes more than 24 hours after booking and have a basic fare ticket, you're out of luck as no changes are permitted. If you have a different ticket, you can make changes to your flight, but you will be charged a fee that varies depending on your route and ticket type. It can range from 50 Canadian dollars to nearly 500 Canadian dollars.

You must make the change 24 hours or more before your departure. Blackout dates may apply. If the new flight is more expensive, you will be required to pay the difference. If the new flight is less expensive, the difference will be refunded to you in the form of a Travel Bank credit.

How to Change Your WestJet Flight

To change your flight, just follow these steps:

  1. Go to WestJet's web page.
  2. Select Manage Booking.
  3. Enter the booking code and your name in the text fields provided.
  4. Click on the Search button.
  5. Click on the booking you want to change.
  6. Click on the Change Flight button.
  7. Change the details of your flight.
  8. Pay the difference in fares, if any.
  9. Confirm the changes.

You will be sent a confirmation email about the new details of your flight.
