So, you have lost your mobile phone, and you do not know what to do next. Most of us have been in such a situation, and we know how it feels. No matter how you feel, the best thing that you can do is to find a way to get back your missing Vivo phone.

If it is a Vivo smartphone, then there is a high probability that there is a simple way you can hunt it down and find it. Here is a simple guide on how to find/replace your lost Vivo phone or similar device.

  1. Proceed to www.google.com/android/find and proceed to log in to your primary Google (Gmail) account
  2. If you have more than one mobile device, make sure that you click on your lost Vivo phone at the top of your screen.
  3. Your Vivo device will get an instant notification
  4. On the map that is provided, you can easily see the location of your mobile device. However, you need to keep in mind that this is not an exact location. It is merely an approximation, and the GPRS may not be accurate.
  5. If your Vivo mobile phone cannot be traced, you will see its "last known location" if it is available.
  6. From there, you need to pick what you want to do. In most cases, the first thing that you will want to do is to click on "Enable lock & erase" to safeguard your data and privacy.
  7. You can also choose to play sound, and your device will ring at full volume for at least five minutes even if it is already set to vibrate or silent mode.
  8. The "lock" function locks your mobile device with your pattern, password, or PIN. If you do not have a lock, you can easily set one from your PC. To help someone return the device to you, you can add a short message or mobile phone number to the lock screen
  9. The "erase" function will delete all data on your device but may not delete data stored on SD cards. If you choose this option, you need to keep in mind that the "Find My Device" function won't work on the phone. Keep in mind that when you find your mobile phone after erasing data, you will be required to sign in to your Google Account afresh to use it again.

Note that there are a few conditions that must be fulfilled before Google can help locate your lost Vivo mobile device:

  1. 1. The phone must be powered on
  2. The location service of your phone must also be turned on
  3. Your mobile phone must be connected to the internet
  4. "Find My Device" service should be active in the settings. You can do this by going to "Settings" then "More Settings," then "Security & Privacy" then "More Security Settings" then "Device Manager" then "Device Administrators".

Tracking Your Phone using Its IMEI

You can also track your phone using its International Mobile Station Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. This is a 15-digit number that is usually specific and unique to a mobile device. This number can be used to find your mobile device when it is stolen. To find your mobile's IME number:

  1. Check the back of your device for the IMEI number. If it is not there:
  2. Go to "settings."
  3. Scroll down to the "About phone" section
  4. Note down the IMEI number that you will see.

To locate your mobile phone using IMEI number contact Vivo or contact the police for assistance. You can also use an IMEI tracker tool to find your phone. There are plenty of these tracking tools that you can use.
