How do I file a complaint about Handy's service?

Common Problems You May Encounter With Handy's Professionals

Below are some of the most common problems you may encounter with Handy's services and what you can do about them.

Unsatisfactory Service

If you're not satisfied with the service you booked, contact Handy ASAP, and they will do everything to make it right. All clients are backed by the Handy Happiness Guarantee. After reporting your experience to Handy, they will send another professional who will complete the task at no additional cost to you. They also advise that you rate the professional accordingly to ensure you don't get matched with them in the future. 

Professional Did Not Arrive

If the professional didn't arrive at your location, don't forget to give them a rating and report your experience to Handy. A rating of below three stars prevents the system from matching you with the same professional. 

The Pro Left Early 

When the professional did an exceptional job and left early, this is okay as long as you're satisfied with the job. Feel free to add them to your Pro team so that they're given the first opportunity to work with you in the future. However, if they left without completing the task, it may be best to give them a below three rating so that you don't get matched with them in the future. 

Something is Missing or Damaged

You need to file a formal complaint if you think the professional is the culprit for the damaged or missing item. Also, make sure to do this within 72 hours for the claim to become valid. Handy's Customer Service usually responds ASAP, especially when it comes to missing or damaged items. You need to also provide documentation to prove ownership of the item. 

Pro Didn't Bring a Van 

If you booked a moving service, keep in mind that professionals can help you pack and lift boxes, but the transportation will need to be taken care of by you. Contact Handy if you need a moving van for your valuables. 

Filing a Complaint

Handy's Customer Support is available around the clock. They also usually respond within a few hours (or minutes for extremely urgent concerns). You can use the blue icon on the bottom right of the page to chat with customer service representatives in real time. You can also write to their Customer Service office in New York. 

When filing a complaint, don't forget to provide more details or documentation for a faster response.
