my phone does not ring all the time

This issue may result from your settings. Check your sound and do not disturb settings. Ensure your ring and notification volume is turned up and your device is not set to vibrate or silent mode. Also, ensure you don't have Do Not Disturb mode enabled as that can silence calls. Head to Settings > Sound > Do Not Disturb and ensure it is off. Check application notifications in your settings as well to ensure individual apps are allowed to show notifications. If problems persist even after checking these, you should consider contacting Google Pixel support.

trying to transfer contacts android to pixel 8

To transfer contacts from another Android to a Google Pixel 8, you'll use Google account sync. On the old Android device, go to Settings > Accounts > Google and turn on Sync Contacts. Once the sync completes, take your Pixel 8, go to Settings > Accounts > Add Account and sign in with the same Google account. Tap on Account Sync and enable Sync Contacts. This process will transfer your contacts. Alternatively, you can use the data transfer tool during the Pixel setup for moving data including contacts, photos and more.

not getting my text messages in a timely manner

This issue could be due to a few reasons. Start by checking if your device has a stable internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or mobile data. Also, make sure your Google Pixel's Message app is updated to the latest version. Try clearing the cache and data from the Message app: go to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Message > Storage > Clear cache and Clear Storage. You may also want to check if Do Not Disturb is turned off: go Settings > Sound > Do Not Disturb. Please note clearing storage will delete all Message app data, including your message history, so backup any important messages before taking this step. If the issue persists, restarting your phone might help too.

I can't find the motion picture option in my camera app

The "Motion Photos" feature of Google Pixel can be found in the camera app. To enable it, open the Camera app, then tap the downward-facing arrow at the top of the screen. This will open up additional settings. Look for the section labelled "Motion", where you can choose from three options: Off, Auto, and On. Tap on your preferred option. If you choose Auto, your phone will decide when to capture motion. Please note that availability of this feature may depend on the model of your Google Pixel phone.

My phone doesn't have the "filter spam calls" option.

Your Google Pixel phone should have the "filter spam calls" option under your phone settings. First, ensure your phone is up to date with the latest software. Secondly, go to your Phone app ⮕ Tap More Options (three dots icon at top-right corner) ⮕ Settings ⮕Spam and Call Screen ⮕ See Caller and Spam ID. Here, you should be able to see the "filter spam calls" option. If you're unable to find it even after following these steps, the feature might not be available in your country or for your carrier. Only certain countries and carriers support this feature.
