How Do I Reset My Expedia Password and Email?

In a nutshell: Do you need to reset the password and email address associated with your Expedia account? You can easily do this on the website, but it's important to have access to the email address registered on Expedia. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to log back in. Expedia also sends a six-digit code when you make changes to your account, and without access to your email, it would be difficult to update your password. If you still have access to your email, read this guide to reset your password and update your email address.

Go to the Sign in Page

Once you’ve found the correct email, enter it in the required field and click Continue.

Click Enter Password Instead

Since you're trying to reset or change the password, just ignore the 6-digit code sent by Expedia. Click Enter Password Instead.

Tap Forgot Password

Enter Your Email Address

Type in the email address associate with your Expedia account. Then click Send Reset Link.

Check Your Inbox

Wait for the password reset link sent to your email address. If you don't have the password reset link yet, check your spam folder first or the Promotions tab (for Gmail accounts) before clicking Resend Link.

Click Reset Password

The subject of the email is Your Password Reset Request. Open it and click Reset Password.

Note that the password reset link expires in 24 hours, so it's best to change your password as soon as you get the email from Expedia.

Create a Unique Password for Your Account

To protect your account, use uncommon words and a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Click Continue to confirm the new password.

Tap Continue Again

Wait for the Success pop-up message and click Continue again. Expedia will also send a New Password Confirmed email.

To reset the email address linked to your Expedia account, we detailed the steps below.

Conclusion

The process is the same, as you will still get the 6-digit code. Enter the code and create your new password. You can also change your mobile number and manage connected devices in the Security and Settings page. If you receive a password reset link that you did not request, we recommend changing your password again. For other issues with your Expedia account, do not hesitate to contact Customer Support.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Expedia Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
