You can share your screen on Webex using the ‘Share' button on the control bar. When you share a screen, other members can see whatever you are discussing. How Do I Share My Screen on Webex?

If you share a screen in Webex Teams, others can easily see what you are discussing. Even though anyone can share their screen on Webex, you have to do it one person at a time. Video-sharing makes it easy to collaborate with partners, customers, and employees.

You can share your entire screen or an application from any device. Webex allows you to share your screen from a:

1. Browser

2. Cisco Webex Device

3. Android device

4. iPad or iPhone devices

Sharing Your Screen

1. Click ‘Share' on your control bar

2. Share your screen from the available list

3. If you wish to begin a whiteboard session, clock ‘Share' and then ‘New Whiteboard'

4. Click ‘Stop Sharing' if you don't want to continue sharing your screen

5. With a Webex device, you can screenshare from the Webex Meetings app

Choosing What You Can Screen Share

Webex Meetings allows you to decide what you can share. You may share the following:

  1. Your entire screen
  2. Application sets including web browsers and productivity tools
  3. Individual documents or files
  4. Multimedia players and viewers

You may share content when paired to a desk device or room.

  1. Click ‘Share screen' during a meeting
  2. Check the following options if you need to share content with audio or video.

Share Computer Audio

This option means that everyone gets to hear your audio.

Optimize For Video

The video will play back more smoothly. Content will display with a 720p resolution at up to 30 Frames per Second. However, you may not see much of an improvement if your meeting has over 25 people.

  1. Choose the screen or application that you wish to share. If you cannot see the app you wish to share, scroll to find all open apps. When sharing an application, Webex Teams will suppress the notifications from your calls and messages.
  2. When sharing, you can select any of the following options:

i). ‘Stop' if you don't wish to continue sharing your screen

ii). ‘Share screen' to switch to a different screen without stopping the first one

ii). ‘Annotate' to mark-up your shared screen during your meeting or call

Contacting the Support Team

If you need help sharing your screen on Webex, consider seeking help from the customer service team. The best way to contact Webex is on the phone. You will be connected with an agent who will give you the support you need. You may need to call a few times before getting the support you need. Live chat is a great alternative to phone support. It is the only other option to speak directly with an agent.

Consider sending the support team an email if you don't need to speak with an agent. They will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. Email is a great support option as it allows you to retain details of your interaction with the support team for a long time.

Facebook and Twitter are great support options as well. Since they are public platforms, you are likely to get help fast.
