What Do I Do If My ChowNow Delivery Is Late?

If you are using the ChowNow app to order food, and your order is late, you have several options.

ChowNow currently does not have any sort of order tracking capability, through either their website or app. In the majority of cases, you should call either the restaurant or ChowNow to resolve your issue.

Double Check

ChowNow requires most delivery customers to schedule the day and time of their order. If you think your order is late, check your order history or email order confirmation to ensure you chose the right date and time. If you picked wrong, you may still be able to cancel your order. Note that in many cases, ChowNow requires you to fill out a cancellation form and speak with a Restaurant Success Manager to cancel an order and receive a refund.

While ChowNow does not have order tracking, it does send an order confirmation email with an estimated time of delivery. Double check this email as well. If the restaurant is experiencing a particularly heavy rush, your estimated time of delivery may be later than expected.

Call the Restaurant

ChowNow does not handle deliveries themselves; they subcontract with DoorDash. Due to this setup, your best bet to check on a late order is to contact the restaurant directly. ChowNow does not list the phone numbers of restaurants on their website, so you should use Google, Yelp, or another service to find the restaurant's phone number. Once you call the restaurant, they should be able to inform you of your order's status.

If you are dissatisfied with the lateness of your order, you can cancel it and request a refund directly from the restaurant, as well. ChowNow recommends this as the best solution to unsatisfactory orders.

Contact ChowNow

If your interaction with the restaurant was unproductive, you can contact ChowNow customer service. You have three options to do so. ChowNow offers both a customer helpline and live chat through their website. These methods put you in contact with a human quickly, and usually after only a minute or so of waiting. If you prefer email, you can contact the ChowNow helpdesk. This takes a bit longer, but still usually resolves within about an hour.

In all cases, provide ChowNow with the name of the restaurant you ordered from, the date and time of your order, and the specific reason(s) you found the order unsatisfactory. Depending on the problem, ChowNow may help you resolve the issue with the restaurant, or issue you a direct account credit.
