Your Brita filter could be clogged if it's not allowing water to flow through after just a week. First, ensure you've soaked your filter in cold water for 15 minutes before installing. Remove and reinsert the filter to make sure it's fitted correctly, filling the reservoir with cold tap water and allowing it to filter. If nothing helps, the filter might be faulty. While this rarely happens, Brita does stand by their products. If you believe your filter is faulty, the best course of action is to replace it with a new one.
