If you have recently gotten a new Enplug device, then you need to know how to set it up. To do so, just follow the instructions below.

Plugging the Device In

The first part of the Enplug setup process:

  1. Plug the HDMI cable into the TV.
  2. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the device.
  3. If you're not going to be using WiFi then plug in an Ethernet cable.
  4. Plug in the power adapter.
  5. Put the adapter into the outlet.
  6. Wait for the device to boot up.
  7. Plug in the USB keyboard dongle. Please note: Do this ONLY after the device has finished booting up. If you plug it in before then, the device will not finish booting up all the way.

Connecting the Device to WiFi

If you did not plug in an Ethernet cable in the instructions above, do the following next:

  1. When you see the message that says, "Press Space or the Triangle button," press the space key on your keyboard. The Network menu should appear.
  2. Select your desired network using the arrow keys.
  3. Press Enter once you have selected your Network.
  4. Enter your WiFi password.
  5. Press Next.
  6. Wait while the device connects to the network.
  7. Once the two-word passphrase screen appears, enter it and move on to the next steps.

Linking the Device to Your Account

Once your account has display groups set up, follow these instructions:

  1. Select the display group you want to use from the Display Groups drop down menu.
  2. Select Add New Display.
  3. Enter the setup phrase.
  4. Name the display.
  5. Select Save.

Setting Up the Remote

Your Enplug device comes with an optional remote control. To set it up, follow these instructions:

  1. Hold the Small Circle, Triangle, and Microphone buttons at the same time until the blue light starts flashing.
  2. Plug in the keyboard.
  3. Wait until the display shows "Starting up."
  4. Press Alt and Esc.
  5. Under the Remote $ Accessories category, see if the Shield Remote Connected message appears. If it does, skip to step 11.
  6. Select Shield Remote.
  7. Select Unpair.
  8. Press Enter.
  9. Select OK.
  10. Press Enter.
