This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 1,223 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Nissan Credit phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Nissan Credit staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Nissan Credit is Friday. The most busy day to call is Tuesday. Again, this is based on a sample of 1,223 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Monday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Thursday.

The best time to call

In summation, the best day to call Nissan Credit is Friday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Nissan Credit staffs the call center well on Friday.

Calling this Nissan Credit Customer Number

Calling this number proved to be ineffective because I don't have an account with Nissan Credit. If that's your situation, you won't get much out of calling this number because the phone system sets up a chokepoint from the beginning with important pieces of information.

If you call, you'll be asked to provide either your account number or your Social Security number to establish your identity. Failing to do so or refusing to do so will have you transferred to asking a representative for assistance after the third request. However, outside of standard business hours, this becomes hanging up the call entirely.

That's because the automated system is completely useless if you do not provide proper identification. If you're taken to the menu of needing assistance from a representative, the system will simply tell you that nobody is available to take your call and you will need to try again between Monday and Friday. At that point, the system automatically hangs up without offering you any additional options.

Overall, I think this number is set up well to have the chokepoints so early in the call. There really aren't any good reasons to be calling this number unless you're in specific need of credit or assistance with a credit account, and there's no reason at all to let someone in who can't identify a genuine need for the information. Setting up the chokepoint ensures that people who don't have a reason to call this number can't use it to get access to information they should not have.

Based on this, I would likely use this number for assistance if I had genuine need of assistance through Nissan Credit. If I didn't, I'd have no reason to recommend it, as it isn't useful to anyone without an account.
