An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Mozy phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Mozy staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Mozy is Tuesday. The most busy day to call Mozy is Wednesday.  Again, this is based on a sample of 28 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Friday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Monday.

The best time to call

In summation, the best day to call Mozy is Tuesday.  This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Mozy staffs the call center well on Tuesday.

Calling this Mozy Customer Number

2014-07-30T00:00:00.000Z

When calling this number, it's important to know that Mozy no longer exists, as Carbonite bought out the company. However, the phone number still works, as Carbonite has incorporated it into their company as their number for technical support.

The second thing to know about calling this number is that it's only going to be useful if you already have an account with Mozy or Carbonite. This number is only meant for technical support, so if you're trying to use it to set up an account or get information about purchasing an account, you won't have any success.

When I called, I initially couldn't get anyone on the line, as I had called outside their normal business hours. When I did call back within normal business hours, I was connected with a representative almost instantly, with the automated message barely having time to finish before the representative answered my call. As soon as he answered, he asked me for my e-mail address, which I provided.

He then said my e-mail address wasn't attached to any account in Carbonite's system, and asked if I had a different e-mail I'd like to use. I then told him I was not a current Carbonite customer; I was simply interested in using Carbonite's data backup service and wanted to get information about which subscription might be right for me. He said that, unfortunately, he would not be able to assist me as I would need to talk to the Carbonite sales team at a separate number. He then offered me the number, telling me to call 866-350-6089 to get information. He then thanked me for my call and wished me a pleasant day.

Overall, it's tough to get a complete picture of what the experience of calling Carbonite is like, given that you can only use this number if you're already a customer. From what I could glean from my brief interaction, this number doesn't have a very long wait time, representatives care about getting the details right and Carbonite takes time to make sure it's speaking with the right person before starting the process of assistance.

I found the representative to have a professional, friendly demeanor. He spoke confidently, as if he knew what he was talking about, and would be able to help if needed. It's of course impossible to judge if that was really the case, but he created the atmosphere that he would be able to provide assistance if necessary. If I were a genuine Carbonite customer, I would definitely try using this number if I needed assistance with a Carbonite-related issue.
