*. Trying to make sure that my event is published and searchable on Yelp. *. Trying to make a simple edit on the event. ... *. I've created an event on Yelp. And I thought I published it. I went to search the event on Yelp and it does NOT show up in the search results. Is there a waiting period or approval that an event must go through? If so can you tell me what steps are involved and how long that takes? **. I followed your directions on how to edit an event but it doesn't work. When I hi edit event it brings me back to your home page. I've tried it several times and the same issue comes up. Is something wrong with the page? Can I NOT edit the event? Any resolutions to this issue? **Look forward to finding closure on this.**Mahalo for your time.
I cannot use my time trying to solve issues that i think Yelp should have listed in the Yelp help desk. And it's extremely frustrating that I cannot talk to a real live person on the phone to help resolve this issue.
I know that I won't get a phone call. (Well, I get calls for my business page all the time asking me to start an advertising campaign.) Yelp for some reason apparently doesn't believe in speaking to a live support person. I'd like to get information on how to edit the event and how to make sure that it is live and published.
I've been a customer since ****. I write fair reviews. I search and use Yelp for other activities. I tell others about how great Yelp is and to use it to find new things to do. I really like Yelp, I really really do.
EDIT :**. I went to the support page and found how to edit. However when I hit the edit button it would only bring me back to the home page. I tried this * times. It never worked and I cannot edit the event to date.*PUBLISH :**. I completed the event and was thinking it was published and up and searchable. It does not show up on the search.**. I had another friend try the same thing on his computer and it did not show up in his search.**. I spoke with a MAC specialist at APPLE who told me to contact Yelp.**. I spoke with technical staff at the MAC store here in town. They said I need to contact Yelp.**. I did a GOOGLE search to find an answer to the issues. NOTHING came up as to how to fix the issue.**. I tried a BING search. NOTHING**. I tried a search on SAFARI browser. NOTHING**. I called the professor at the University here in town. He suggested that I speak with Yelp to resolve the issue.**. I put the question out to friends on all my social media accounts. Feedback was that Yelp doesn't have a phone where you can speak to someone live. I was told "Good Luck!" hahah. More than three people laughed at me. I was embarrassed and belittled.
