I need confirmation regarding the all-inclusive package purchased with West Jet on November 18, [redacted]. Unfortunately, my wife fell ill with Covid the day before the flight, resulting in a recommendation from her physician not to travel. Despite my request to reschedule for a later date, West Jet declined the change citing non-transferability. The booking reference number is [redacted] for travel from December 10, [redacted], to December 17, [redacted], in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I seek clarification on the non-transferability of this booking. I am grateful for your assistance and swift attention to this issue.

I have a booking for a flight from Montreal to Toronto on the 21st of April [redacted] with the PNR GGZVKR. I'm currently in Hyderabad and will be traveling to Toronto on a student visa. My agent arranged for a flight from Hyderabad to Montreal with British Airways and then from Montreal to Toronto with West Jet. British Airways allows me to carry 2 cabin bags weighing 23 kg each. I want to make sure if I will be able to have the same baggage allowance of 23 kg each when I travel from Montreal to Toronto with West Jet. Please confirm this at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

I recently filed a compensation claim with WestJet and was denied. I am dissatisfied with their response and have been attempting to connect with someone to discuss the reasons for this outcome. My flight from Edmonton to Toronto was originally cancelled and subsequently delayed, totaling 16 hours and 10 minutes of travel time. Initially, my flight was rescheduled for 11 hours later, yet it departed at the original time with the explanation that a smaller plane required passengers to be removed. Upon returning to the airport for the second attempt, I faced an additional delay of 4.5 hours. These disruptions resulted in the cancellation of my plans in Toronto, necessitating the booking of a new hotel upon arrival at 4:00 am and impacting prepaid train tickets, an Airbnb, and a hotel at my final destination. Despite assurances of an email detailing the flight cancellation reason, none was received. When contacting WestJet, agents seemed uninformed and were unable to clarify the situation adequately. I incurred significant expenses to adjust plans due to these delays, surpassing the original trip cost. It is concerning that WestJet denies accountability while their representatives could not offer a satisfactory explanation by phone. I request the opportunity for a telephone discussion to elucidate the rationale behind their decision. Please provide guidance on who I can contact for further assistance. Thank you, Asha

I flew from Hamilton, ON, to Calgary Intl, AB, on Westjet flight #WS533 departing at 16:05 on 19th February [redacted], landing at 18:32. The return flight was on Westjet #WS532 departing Calgary at 09:25 and arriving in Hamilton at 15:09. Upon landing, my checked luggage was missing. I filled out a Westjet Delayed Baggage form. When checking in for the return flight, I was mistakenly given the boarding pass of another passenger, Mr. Tatum Woywitka, who was flying from Calgary, AB, to Edmonton, AB. This led to my luggage being processed under Mr. Woywitka's details. Although I received a new boarding pass with the correct information, my luggage tags remained with the incorrect pass. Consequently, my baggage was sent to Edmonton instead of Hamilton.

I recently won a trip for two from Westjet with the reference number COC-C-[redacted]27-[redacted]. My spouse and I, seniors, just returned from a snowbird trip on March 30, [redacted]. Following a conversation with a member of your Care Team, they advised us to submit a letter regarding our situation. Due to my husband's recent knee replacement and another one scheduled for October, we are unable to travel during the specified period. We kindly request an extension of this offer. We truly value this opportunity and hope to be able to utilize it, particularly with his ongoing medical needs. We eagerly await your response. Thank you. -Patrick D.

I had a flight from Pearson Airport in Toronto to Halifax this morning at 8:30 a.m. Unfortunately, despite arriving at the airport at 7 a.m., I faced long lineups and security checks and reached the gate by 8:20 a.m. The plane had the ramp connected, yet my friend and I were denied boarding. We are now waiting for a new flight at 3:40 p.m., feeling frustrated by this situation. I believe some compensation should be provided for this inconvenience.

I had to cancel my flight last minute from Vancouver to Mexico due to a medical emergency requiring oral surgery. Despite providing a doctor's note, neither Expedia nor Westjet accepted my medical exemption. Initially, Westjet suggested future travel credits, which Expedia later denied. Upon further communication with Westjet, a supervisor named David explained my fare did not allow cancellations. Despite the urgent nature of my medical situation, no exemptions were granted by either company. I received no compensation or options to change my flight. The lack of flexibility in this circumstance is disappointing, and I will be seeking compensation from Westjet.

It has been over [redacted] days, and I have not heard back about compensation for a 6-hour delay on my flight from Saskatoon to Edmonton. I booked a flight from Canada to Hong Kong through the Cathay Pacific Airline website. The first part of the journey is from Ottawa to Toronto on June 13 at 5:30 pm with WestJet. When I inquired about baggage allowance, Cathay Pacific staff advised me to check with the operating carrier, WestJet. I'm unsure about the baggage fee for the Ottawa to Toronto leg of my trip.

My daughter had a flight booked from Saskatoon to Punta Cana with Westjet on May 15th but was concerned about a possible strike. To avoid any issues, she flew with Air Canada instead. Her return flight on June 1st with Westjet was missing from her app, and after contacting them, they marked her as a no show for both flights. This is unacceptable as the flights were booked separately. The return flight has cancellation insurance, and she used her Westjet dollars for it. We need her to be rebooked on the June 1st flight at no extra cost. It is crucial for her to get home. We understand the missed first flight is not refundable, but the return flight needs to be resolved promptly. If Westjet is unavailable, she should be accommodated on another airline. We request urgent assistance to rectify this situation.

My daughter had booked a flight from Saskatoon to Punta Cana with Westjet for May 15th but changed to Air Canada due to concerns about a potential Westjet strike. She also booked a return flight from Punta Cana to Saskatoon on June 1st with Westjet, which is missing from her app after being marked as a no-show due to missing the outbound flight. Despite being separate bookings, she insists on being rebooked on the return flight without additional charges, especially because it has cancellation insurance. She used Westjet dollars for this return flight and is adamant about being accommodated on June 1st. While she understands the missed outbound flight is her responsibility, she urges a swift resolution for the return flight issue, emphasizing it was booked independently and needs immediate attention. The passenger is Jesse Anne Dieno, born on April 26, [redacted].

On May 18, my spouse and I had a flight booked to Orlando, Florida with no layovers. Unfortunately, the flight got canceled due to the potential pilot strike the day before. The strike was later averted on the following day. We managed to rebook our flight for May 19, getting to Orlando on May 20. Because we are senior citizens in our seventies, we had to shoulder the unexpected cost of an additional hotel night, which was challenging for us financially. We are set to fly back to Newfoundland from Orlando on May 25, with an overnight layover in Toronto, a known part of the trip. I kindly request WestJet for a hotel voucher for the stay on the 25th of May. As retirees on fixed incomes, the upfront hotel expense has been quite burdensome for us. I sincerely hope that our appeal can be accommodated, and I eagerly await your prompt response. Warm regards, Loyal WestJet customers.

Our flight on the 19th of May from Barcelona to Calgary got canceled, leading to a delay of 3 days in our arrival. Since it was a crucial business trip and we couldn't extend our stay, we had to stick to our original return flight. We believe that considering the inconvenience faced, an upgrade to business class for the flight from Calgary to Barcelona would be a fair gesture. We are a group of 5 passengers and can provide our reservation codes upon request via email. We are eager to hear back from you.

Upon my return from Hawaii, I noticed that my carry-on bag had been damaged during the flight. As the flight was full, we were requested to check in non-essential bags, resulting in my bag being dented on the top and missing a wheel when I collected it from the carousel. I promptly informed a Westjet staff member at the airport and was advised to submit a claim once I returned home. I submitted my claim on May 11th, but to date, there has been no communication concerning this matter. Reference #YVRWS28136 Baggage Tag #[redacted]

Subject: Frustration with WestJet Check-In Process To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my extreme frustration with WestJet's check-in process. Despite repeated attempts to check in early, I encountered errors both online and over the phone with two different employees providing conflicting information. Cory suggested trying at the airport, while Gagan insisted I must wait in line three hours early. This inconsistency caused significant inconvenience as I travel with six friends who had no issues checking in. I requested that Gagan document our conversation in my file, as I am a frequent traveler to the USA with a Nexus Pass and Passport. Despite my efforts, WestJet failed to provide a clear explanation for the check-in problems. Understanding the cause is essential for any resolution, and I urge WestJet to investigate this matter promptly. Sincerely, M. Kenler

Hello, my name is Travis Giles. I am contacting you regarding my travel rewards account. I had over $4,[redacted] in my travel bank, and now it has disappeared. I never received any notification from WestJet regarding its expiration. I am eager to recover this travel bank and request an extension for a future family trip either this year or early next year. This is a significant amount of money, and I don't want it to go to waste. Currently, I am working on a vessel off the coast of Norway with limited cell phone coverage, only access to WIFI, and can only communicate through WhatsApp or email. My phone number is 1-[redacted], and my email address is [redacted] My WestJet rewards account number is [redacted]33. I am open to paying a fee for an extension. I have only used WestJet for my flights, and I appreciate the customer support they offer. I hope we can resolve this matter promptly as I noticed the disappearance of my travel bank balance within the last 4 or 5 days. Thank you.

I would like to book a seat on Westjet flight WS1598 from YVR to ATL on August 25, [redacted]. As a Medallion member on Delta, I believe my seat should be complimentary. I have been unable to reach a customer service representative for assistance. I am requesting either seat 14D or 14C in the exit row as I am comfortable with that. My final destination is Sarasota, FL, where I reside. My Westjet confirmation number is DJUATR and my Delta confirmation number is HTTv7e (I already have my assigned Medallion seat for the Delta portion). Thank you for your help.

My father-in-law and uncle had booked and paid for a flight from Edmonton, Alberta, to St. John's, Newfoundland, for 12:05 a.m. on June 12, [redacted]. Both seniors, we were ready to take them to the YEG airport two hours before the flight, as stated in the itinerary. Unfortunately, we discovered that the flight was actually scheduled for the night before. If only the itinerary had specified the check-in time as June 11, we wouldn't have missed the flight. They are devastated, and with a $[redacted].00 booking made months in advance for their last trip home on their limited pension, this loss is significant. We hope there is a way to help them with this situation.
