Good afternoon. *I am emailing for a refund. A full refund. I have never had such BAD service with a flight airline. *Please see the screenshot for the full payment of flights * baggage I paid for -£***.***Flight ref* booking - FC*TGJ*This is the situation*I spent money to travel to Manchester from Leeds, got to the airport with plenty of time provided my passport and ticket. I was then told that I could not fly because my maiden name on the ticket is different to my married name on the passport. I had proof of my married name and maiden name with me on other letter heads and cards and asked for them to change the name on the ticket to allow me to travel. I spoke to * people who said it should be ok and that they would call the manager to check it. Seeing as I had ample proof and plenty of time, I do not see why this could not be changed when I was told this was allowed by a previous passenger the week before. I was then told that I would have to pay £*** to change my name for one way! Absolutely disgusted - this is triple the price of the tickets I bought and given there were NO other direct flights I could get that day - this was my only method of travel. *I am outraged that I was actually asked to pay triple the price and when I asked why they had NO answer to why the figure of £***! There were no other flights I could buy on the flight and I was stranded. I was absolutely desperate to be on the plane to support my husband in the world championships powerlifting in Barcelona the next day!! I then begged to help me and was told no and because of the situation I had to bite the bullet and pay the LUDICROUS amount to ensure I was going to get to Barcelona to support my husband. But as if matters then couldn't get any worse I was then told by the same manager (who was extremely rude I might add) That I now couldn't pay the money to change my flight because I was “too late” and boarding was only * hour!!! So I was asked to pay £*** then pleaded, said yes and then was refused - REALLY? And this was all extremely rudely handled by your manager so much so that when he left - the desk staff apologised to me for the service!! They through it was that bad too!!*I literally could not believe the situation! I then had to find some way of getting to Barcelona in time for my husbands competition which entailed me having to spend another £*** ONE WAY on a * stop flight path! To get to Barcelona I had to fly to Lisbon! Stay the night (another £***) and then fly to Barcelona to get there a day late for my husbands show - where he took the world record. If I had missed it I would have missed the biggest moment of his athletic career! *And if that wasn’t bad enough I Then had to buy another one of your flights (see screenshot - booking ref QCWKTZ) to London - to get home! Another £*** *So all in all a weekend trip to Barcelona has cost me over £*** in flights.*I request a FULL refund of the flights that I was refused back * the baggage I paid for which was irrelevant! That is a total of £*** and I won’t shout off on social media and press about it. I have found the whole experience with Vueling absolutely abysmal.
