My fibre was installed a bit more than a week ago and all is well except that I am struggling to get my landline ported from Telkom. I have phoned and emailed the relevant customer care department twice and get told that it has been escalated and someone else will send the forms to me to fill in as the customer care agent does not have access to do this - very strange I think. Anyhow, Now I receive and email to say that I must contact the mobile porting department regarding porting my number. This is getting rather ridiculous because first of all the customer care agent does not offer customer care and passes the buck and then they dont even read the email. How am I actually going to get my landline number ported when no one wants to help me but keeps passing the buck. To struggle with such nonsense is just not necessary. Heavens, I am in customer care and go out of my way to help and satisfy the customers but then I get treated like this by other customer care agents. So the contractors do their job and I'm happy and then there is no back up service once handed over. If I could download the forms from the website I would but they make it impossible to get something so simple done. If there is anything you can do about it I would be most grateful. Its dreadful to have to deal with so much incompetence and indifference.

Got the contractor that arranged the installation to send me the forms. The customer care at Vodacom are useless - still have not received anything from them. I hope this is not the start of a regrettable relationship
