I want to use the menu button on the remote. ... I was recently gifted a Vizio SmartCast tv, model E**U-D*. It came without a remote so I purchased an XRT*** remote because I’m unhappy with the app on my phone. I bought this remote because it has a menu button, but the menu button on the remote does not open the menu on the TV. Help!!

The menu button on the remote does not communicate with the tv.

I don’t know how it could be made right. I just want a physical remote that can be used for all the tv features. Like the menu so I can adjust brightness at night.

I’ve only purchased Vizio televisions over the past ** years. I expected the remote to work with the tv.

I’ve been using the app on my phone but it won’t stay connected to the tv, even only ** feet away.
