Today I have had a most shocking and unbelievable experience with uber eat.* *I have put down an order between meetings. The uber eat app told me the estimated time would be **:**. While I put down the order, I did mention that "please do not knock on the door, just let me know and I will come out to pick it up". At **:**, I received a call from the driver, in a very angry tone and asked me "Where are you???" I answered "oh, you arrived? Ok I will come out right now and I hanged up the phone." After about ** seconds, while I was waiting for the elevator, she called again and started to yell at me through phone: "Why are you not here yet!!!! You know I have work??? I have been here for ** minutes already!!!" I have call history and it clearly showed that including the second call, I have only received two calls from her. I have no idea where the ** minutes come from.* *I arrived the location at **:**, and she parked across from the street. She got off her car and started to yell at me at a very loud voice as she approach me. "Why are you not waiting by the street???? I have been here waiting for you for ** minutes ok???? You should be standing right here by the street once you put down the order!!!!!" I said "Well, I did put in the notes, you need to contact me first so I know you are here and then I can come out to pick it up." She started to yell even louder "Oh I only speak mandarin, why would I read your notes?? I don't ready English, it's not my problem ok??? And I called you so many times! Why don't you answer???" * *The fact is, I only received two calls from her, the first one was at **:**. I was very angry already at the moment, I am a university professor, and she was yelling at me across street (yes, she walked back to her car after hand me the food and kept yelling at me across the street) right next to the University. I told her I no longer want to argue with you, I will file a complain with all evidence included. She then started to yell at me in Chinese and said, "You people who come from China are ********!!" and then she left. I seriously do not understand, as a Chinese (base on the information that she speaks Mandarin), why would she use such insulting language towards a client that shares the same racial ethnic as her??
