Hello Customers Services,**I inadvertently double booked this week’s stay at the Learherhead Hotel. My first booking was last Monday and the second was on Thursday. The second booking confirmation no is **********. I wasn’t aware until Linda the Hotel manager rang me just before lunch yesterday to alert me. I rang *********** to cancel this booking at around **.** and Megan advised I am not entitled to a refund as it’s after noon on check-in day. I argued that it’s not as though I am cancelling my stay this week which will be the **th in the last ** weeks. I then had about four attempts on the customer services’ chat facility and kept getting an ‘I don’t understand’ response.*I rang central reservations again last night from the Leatherhead Hotel *ref. Booking confirmation number *********** and spoke to Hector with a view cancelling my other reservation. I got the same response...’if you cancel your saver booking you will not be reimbursed’. I mentioned my customer chat attempts and he said it was likely nobody was manning it over the weekend. He did consider shifting booking no* by a day to allow me to request a refundable cancellation before noon today however a colleague to him it was not achievable.**I have erroneously paid £*** extra personally and I wish to be refunded. I will be in Leatherhead until June **** earliest and I am happy at the Travelodge, I hope I am not penalised for my mistake. Look forward to hearing from you.
