I have been staying at your hotel in Romford (The Quadrant) Since the start of October, and had planned to use it for my full ** month contract. However, there are some issues that I am to happy about that I want to make a formal complaint about. There is one member of staff in particular who I feel lacks any sense of customer care and is letting your side down. I dont know her name but she may be Indian or Pakistani. On my first day, I came in from work and wanted a shower. I noted there were no towels in the room and the shower gel dispenser was empty. I went to reception to ask for the issue to be resolved. This member of staff, instead of apologising and offering to address the problem, had a go at me for using a lift that wasn't supposed to be used by the public. Firstly, there was no sign saying not to use the lift, and secondly, se had no right to ignore my reasonable request. I left the hotel for dinner, and on my return I found two towels that had been thrown on the bed and the industrial shower gel bottle laid on top of them. I was so incensed I took a photo and will gladly e-mail this on to you. And it remained like that in that no one thought to fill the shower gel dispensor for the rest of my stay, and I was having to open and close the big plastic bottle. It seems like a little valid complaint was met with hostility and I was left feeling as if I had done something wrong. The final straw was today. I arrived very early and knowing I could not check in, this same member of staff refused to accept my standard bag for storage, claiming Travelodge don't do this now. I find this utterly bizarre and unhelpful, and I am not convinced this is the case. I will change my booking to Premier Inn for the rest of the year if this is not sorted quickly.
