I was trying to set up the program for my two email addresses. ... After Thunderbird did an update to Ver. **.*.*, I cannot access the ISP'S server ever thought after filling out all my information in the setup process, it found all of my settings on the giver server. After selecting DONE to get on the server, the error message that comes up says: Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password. *I called my ISP and they confirmed that all of the information I entered into the 'Set Up Your Existing Email Address' is correct and so is my email address and password.*I can get my webmail to come up at my ISP's website but cannot login to the same server that I entered into the Set Up window. Could you help me with my problem?
What they show on their support page does not match was comes up on my computer when I try to set up my present email accounts that have always been working.
Allow me to get into my email accounts.
I have been a user ever since thunderbird came out.
I finally got to talk with a technician that knew what was going on. She told me that they discontinued the use of the servers that I connected to, to get my emails for my two accounts. I was able to finally get the emails that are on the ISP's servers, but no contact information. Checked my version of Thunderbird that I now have and it is version **.* (**-bit) I would like to go back to an older version with the hopes of getting back all of the emails, contacts, and folders that I saved emails to. I have older versions downloaded but don't know how to install them and be able to stop auto-update from changing to the newest version. I have to get back all of the previous records of my contacts and emails in order to be able to send out emails to someone in my contact list.*Any help would be appreciated..
