After reinstalling Windows 10 Home and Thunderbird, I restored the files from a previous backup. Although everything else seems fine, I'm facing issues with sending or receiving emails. I configured the POP and SMTP servers based on Shaw's recommendations, but I keep encountering errors, and it doesn't retain my password. Although I managed to download one account successfully, the other three accounts are not working. Can someone advise on the correct settings for both the POP and SMTP servers to resolve this issue?

I receive over [redacted] junk or spam emails daily, and though I mark them as spam and delete them, the same emails from the same sites keep coming. This is frustrating and bothersome. I am unsure how to prevent these unwanted emails as there are too many to list. I am cautious about my web searches and mainly visit reputable sites like Pinterest. Additionally, some emails from my contacts end up in the junk folder, which is perplexing. Could you assist me in resolving this issue? I use Mozilla Thunderbird for my email. Your help is greatly appreciated, especially since I am not very knowledgeable about computers. Thank you.

I am unable to contact Thunderbird to submit a bug report. After attempting to sign in through GitHub to access Bugzilla, I encountered an endless loop preventing me from reporting the issue. The problem involves deleting an account in Thunderbird, leading to login issues and the inability to send emails from any account. This bug has persisted since [redacted] without resolution despite updates over the past 8 years. Thunderbird's lack of contact options exacerbates the frustration. Asking GitHub to reconsider the need for email verifications upon every login and improving the user account system is also necessary.

I'm experiencing difficulty logging into Thunderbird for my email. After repeatedly clicking "Get messages," I received an error message regarding my account [redacted], stating an issue with the login or password. Upon attempting to rectify the situation by retrying, entering a new password, or canceling, I found myself in a loop unable to access my emails. I attempted to seek assistance from Thunderbird Support but found the website unhelpful. Please note that I am unable to access my email. Feel free to reach me at [redacted] at any time.

I recently accessed my Telstra ID after receiving an email about my phone account. Subsequently, when trying to log into my Thunderbird email account, I encountered an issue requiring a password I've never set. Every login request now demands this phantom password, and recently, I've been unable to send emails. When I attempt to send a message, the error "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Must issue a STARTTLS command first" appears. Telstra claims it's a Thunderbird problem, but I believe it's on their end since my account is with Telstra. I just seek a resolution to this frustrating problem and hope for your assistance.

Today, I attempted Thunderbird for the first time. After installation and following the instructions, I noticed issues with using MS Word on Windows 7 and copying text into it. This hindered Word's functionality. Despite my $20 donation, I uninstalled Mozilla/Thunderbird to restore Word's operation successfully. Could you please refund my $20 donation? Thank you.
P.S. I suggest providing a warning to Windows 7 users about potential compatibility issues with Thunderbird that may require adjustments to connection settings and other unforeseen changes.

Today, I tried Thunderbird for the first time. Once I downloaded it and followed the instructions, I experienced issues using MS Word on Windows. I was unable to write or paste text into Word after installing Thunderbird. Despite making a $20 donation, I had to uninstall Thunderbird to regain functionality in MS Word. Can I please request a refund for the donation? Additionally, I suggest providing a warning for Windows users, as Thunderbird may require adjusting connection settings and other changes to work properly on their system. Thank you.

I have been a happy Thunderbird user for over 10 years. Lately, I've been experiencing issues when trying to forward emails. Around 80% of the time, the forwards timeout and fail to send. Upon checking the Task Manager, I notice there are instances of "Thunderbird (3)" and sometimes even a second line of Thunderbird with no numbers, alongside Skype. Ending these tasks sometimes allows me to successfully resend the email, but the results are inconsistent. I am reluctant to switch to a different email application as Thunderbird has been my go-to for so long. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. - Roy, 84 years old

Hello,
I've been a Thunderbird email user for many years. I'm having trouble accessing my email at the address [redacted] A message saying "Sending of password for user [redacted] did not succeed. Mail server outlook.office365.com responded: Authentication failure: unknown user name or bad password," keeps appearing. The account was set up by my employer 15-years ago, and I don't know the password. Can you please advise me on how to proceed?
Thank you,

The Thunderbird mail Local Folders have been causing issues for about 4 weeks now. When moving emails to folders or subfolders, they seem to disappear or get misplaced, showing up as subfolders in other folders. Many folders and subfolders are missing, even after unchecking hidden mail. When attempting to recreate a folder with the same name, it says the folder already exists. I am hoping to restore all my local folders to their original places and have them organized correctly.

I am unable to open Thunderbird on my Mac after updating it to Mac OS Ventura. When I try to open the app, I receive a message stating it is damaged. The suggestion is to move Thunderbird to the Trash, but I'm concerned about losing access to my email and address book. The Mac OS user guide mentions that modified or damaged apps should be deleted and reinstalled, which I'm considering doing for Thunderbird. However, when I try to open the app by control-clicking, I receive a message saying it is not responding. Any suggestions on what else I can try to access Thunderbird and retrieve my email and address book would be greatly appreciated.

I've been a Thunderbird user and monthly contributor for over five years. Unfortunately, my old computer crashed due to Blue Screen of Death errors, and I'm now attempting to set up Thunderbird on my new Lenovo IdeaCentre All-in-One Desktop running Windows 11. I am encountering issues setting up my email address [redacted] on both my new computer and laptop. Despite entering the correct email address and password, I receive an error message indicating a problem with the server login. I have double-checked the configuration settings and confirmed that I can log in successfully on the AT&T website with the same credentials. Even after disabling the Windows firewall, the error persists. I really value the functionality of Thunderbird and would appreciate any guidance on resolving this issue to regain access on my new computer. Thank you.

I'm experiencing two issues with my email in Thunderbird on my computer.
1. I'm having to double click to open an email, and I don't want that.
2. A friend sent me important emails regarding her husband's medical procedure, I need to print them but I can't. I've tried searching online for a solution, but I find it difficult to understand. I need human assistance as I'm very busy and can't afford these problems.
