In March I responded to a Columbus Dispatch special offer--** weeks for $**. The first issue arrived on March **, the **th and final issue would have been June **. Now, on May **, I am receiving notices to resubscribe and stating that I have an unpaid balance of $*.**. I want to cancel my subscription NOW, and I want them to honor their original **-week offer which cancels my "unpaid balance." I emailed their customer service on May ** and the canned response was that a team member would assist me as quickly as possible. Nothing came of that. I am livid and I hope you can help.

How GetHuman2953830 fixed the problem
After speaking to a customer service representative, I was informed that "special promotions" have an extra cost which shortens the length of subscription rather than being billed extra. The $*.** was the residual balance of a promotion and could be factored into a re-subscription but that sounds like the same old tap dance. I chose to pay the $*.** and cancel the newspaper. I am extremely wary of the Columbus Dispatch billing practices.
