I am a customer at the restaurant at **** Gus Thomasson Rd, Mesquite, Texas. I went to the drive thru line. I ordered two tacos and a sun set freeze. My order came to $*.**. There was another car in front of me so as I waited, I counted out the money. When it was my turn, I gave the young man the exact change and he proceeded to give me a Coke that I did not order. I then pointed out that I ordered a freeze. He asked what kind and when I said what I wanted (sun set freeze) he then informed me that it wasn’t available. I then told the young man to give me a skittle freeze. He the said that I owed another dollar. I asked why. He said because the freeze is more. I then informed him that I was quoted $*.** and that I didn’t make a mistake that it was the person whom took the orders mistake. He proceeded to explain that I was charged wrong in which I then explained I understand that but it’s not my mistake and that it is extremely bad customer service to make the customer pay for your mistake. The manager then got involved and proceeded to explain the same thing the young man said. After explaining to both persons that I work in customer service and the goal is to have customers return and not make a customer pay for a mistake on the company’s part, the two young people still did not get it. The employees at that location need to be retrained in what “good customer service” looks like. I do not want any type of resolution but to make sure in the future customers are treated well, with respect and that they matter. Most of all to not pay for mistakes of the employees. I asked for the return of my money and will never frequent any Taco Bell ever and I do plan on posting this incident on social media.
