After clicking a link in a Steam message and entering the secure code, I was suddenly logged out. Upon trying to log back in, the system claimed my password was incorrect. Despite trying all my saved passwords, I couldn't regain access. I noticed an unfamiliar email address during the process of reporting my stolen account to Steam support. I also attempted to provide my Visa and PayPal details for verification, but encountered an error message requesting more information. I urge you to assist me in recovering my account.

Good afternoon. I am writing from a company based in England. Yesterday, I unfortunately fell victim to a scam involving Steam wallet gift cards. A convincing individual posing as our CEO requested that I purchase 20 Steam gift cards valued at £50 each, totaling £[redacted], for our partners. Fortunately, I realized it was a scam before sending the serial numbers. Now, I am left with £[redacted] worth of vouchers that we cannot use. I am seeking a refund according to your return policy. I made the purchase at Currys in Brighton, England. They have acknowledged the issue but are unable to facilitate the refund once the money has been transferred to you. I kindly request prompt assistance with this matter. Thank you.

Hello, I recently discovered unauthorized charges on my Navy Federal bank card linked to purchases made on your Steam platform. I've taken steps to secure my account, but I am eager to explore further assistance in identifying and holding the perpetrators accountable. I plan to involve federal authorities in investigating this matter. Your cooperation in helping pinpoint those responsible by providing any relevant information would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Jay F.

I recently encountered an individual claiming to be from Steam who accused me of item duplication and subsequently locked me out of my account. They insisted I purchase a $50 Steam card for a supposed higher purchase receipt, which turned out to be an error. Following this, they threatened to delete my Steam account, which has accumulated games over 8 years that were purchased with real money, totaling nearly $[redacted] to $[redacted] US dollars. They unjustly demanded payment in euros, despite my location in the USA. I find this situation extremely frustrating, especially because Steam is based in the USA. I am eager to have my Steam account reinstated promptly within the next 24 to 48 hours, without any further delays or excuses. The individual responsible for this malicious activity goes by the name Rose (PR).

Someone messaged me offering free games and, unfortunately, I shared my account information. Shortly after, I was logged out, and my email and passwords were changed. Steam contacted me about this unauthorized activity, prompting me to recover my account. To my dismay, the email linked to my account was altered, denying me access to verification codes. Furthermore, my password was changed, making it impossible to recover independently. I can prove my ownership through the previous use of my email on the account. My friends are also being bombarded with scam messages from my compromised account, urging them to click on suspicious links. Thankfully, I had two-step verification linked to my phone number.

I lost internet for a week and just had it restored. However, my desktop icons for Steam and games are not working. I logged into my account and had to reset my password to get in, but now I can't see my library. There is a button to install Steam at the top of my account and I noticed a news update about a Steam update on April 17 that I might have missed. Should I reinstall Steam? Will my icons start working again, or do I need to do something else to fix this issue?

Recently, I've been having trouble playing Sid Meier's Starships. The game opens for 2 pages then shuts down. I've noticed that there is no Steam cloud next to it in the game list, unlike other games I play regularly. I've tried logging in multiple times over the past two days but the issue persists. I've updated Steam and reinstalled the game, but the problem remains. I've searched online for a solution but haven't found one. If the game is broken and I can't play it, I would appreciate a refund. Thank you.

I typically make sure to verify the green steam icon next to the URL when using third-party sites with a Steam login. Despite my cautious approach, I recently logged into a site suggested by a Steam friend after a long hiatus and made an error. I received an email notifying me of changes to my Steam account, including an email change. Currently, I have a payment method associated with my account and can provide details of past payment methods, security questions, as well as my previous email address and password. My account name is ironhawk, and my username login is matthewironhawk1. I kindly request an account recovery if feasible.

I encountered a link directing me to a website for voting on a server in Unturned. Upon logging in with my Steam account, I discovered that my login details were incorrect, and my password wouldn't grant me access to my account. I'm the owner of the account under the username chris8089 and I'm concerned about someone having taken it from me. I possess the original email and phone number associated with this account, but I am unsure of the steps needed to reclaim my account using this information.

Hello, I am facing a serious issue. I recently received a message claiming I had won something which directed me to a website resembling a gambling site. Despite my initial doubts, I proceeded to input my personal information. Subsequently, I was notified that my phone number was removed, email changed, and password compromised. I was abruptly logged out as I could not recall the new password. Despite having a Steam Authenticator, my account was hijacked. I have invested a significant amount over six years into this account, and losing it permanently would be devastating. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter. -Luke

I need help with my hacked account. The hacker changed my email from [redacted] to cuboidmonkey. I made a ticket on the new account but I don't trust it. My original game name was hmongdomination, now it's Yahmi. A friend, Dbstrikez on Steam, saw my account was set to private. I have friends named Weak_ass_nigga and iGreyFox. I own over [redacted] games including Outward. I was hacked after logging into a fake CS:GO skin site. I can prove the hack with images showing the email change and my mobile authenticator being removed on April 20, [redacted], at 2:13 PM. I also have screenshots of my CD keys and recent purchases. I believe I have $2 left in my account. I recently played Outward for 7 hours and Warframe in the last two weeks. I have [redacted] games on my wishlist. Please contact me at [redacted] or [redacted] for more information. I'm desperately trying to regain access to my account. Thank you for your help. Jade Lee

During the recent busy holiday period, I had asked my girlfriend to download some items she thought I would like. Unfortunately, her choices were not to my liking. I have been trying to get answers from your team regarding refunds for these items, but so far I have not received any responses. Therefore, I am formally requesting a full refund for the following games from my library that were purchased by my ex-girlfriend using my funds: - Sherlock Holmes - Outcast - Binary Domain - Worms Armageddon - Hitman: Blood Money - Hitman: Contracts - Little Nightmares I would appreciate it if these items could be removed from my library and refunded promptly. If this matter is not resolved, I may consider purchasing games from alternative platforms. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

I am experiencing significant distress due to the unauthorized access to my Steam account by a user named :yellow_heart:Victoria:yellow_heart:. The individual sent me a spam link, which I unfortunately clicked on and entered my account details. Subsequently, I received an email notifying me of a change in my email address, which I did not initiate. I recently purchased a $25 Steam card for my friend, but when she tried to redeem it, she received a message saying it had already been redeemed. I went back to the store where I bought the card, and the manager called Steam. They confirmed that the card was still activated with the full $25. However, when my friend tried again, she still got the same redeemed message. The Steam code for the card is FZVGC-3D774-5A807. I'm confused about what's happening with the card since it's showing as activated but not working. This issue has been ongoing even after the store manager confirmed with Steam.

Recently, my computer was compromised by cybercriminals, likely from Russia. I have noticed unusual account activities such as foreign IP addresses accessing my account and changes in language settings. Consequently, my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive account was affected with VAC and game bans. Despite being a loyal customer for twenty years, Steam has been uncooperative in assisting me to reverse these bans and restore my account. Steam fails to provide adequate support in lifting bans, expecting users to maintain flawless account and computer security. Their responses are either unhelpful copy-and-paste messages or complete silence, leaving customers feeling abandoned and helpless. I believe Steam should reconsider their current policies on hacked accounts to prevent loyal customers from feeling mistreated and overlooked. They should prioritize customer support and address individual cases rather than applying blanket restrictions.

I'm having trouble logging in despite resetting my password multiple times. I received the email confirmation as well, but I still can't access my account. I'm frustrated by the lack of information or tech support available, and I wish there was an option for email replies. It would be helpful to have chat support or more options on the website to address these login issues. Many others seem to have similar problems without receiving adequate solutions. It's important to provide a real fix for this issue instead of vague suggestions. Hopefully, these suggestions will help resolve the problem.

Hello, my name is Archie Condon. I have recently relocated from the UK to Barbados. I am unable to access my email at [redacted] as the password has been changed or the account might have been deleted. I no longer have my old English phone number or the SIM card for it since I have a new number now. Consequently, I am locked out of my account. Previously, I had my account authenticated through a phone code, but it was switched to email only, which is causing me issues. The PayPal accounts associated with my account are [redacted] and [redacted], which belongs to my mother. I am currently 18 years old, and unsure if my Steam username matches my real name. My Steam login is Abismal_Equinox, and I used to play a lot of CS and other games. I miss playing CS and would appreciate any help to regain access to my account. Thank you.

I need assistance as I believe I have been a victim of a scam. A person pretending to be a Steam moderator tricked me into sharing a code sent to my phone, resulting in my email and password being changed and my phone number removed from the account. I cannot access my purchase history or remember the card used for transactions, but I have provided the cardholder name. I previously contacted support about another issue six months ago. I am attaching photos showing the scammer's actions and screenshots of past purchase receipts for proof. Due to email notification issues, I was unaware of the password change. I cherish my Steam account and seek help in recovering it. I am located in Hong Kong, and the suspected scammer appeared to be from India or elsewhere. Thank you for your help.

I am experiencing issues with my internet speed while downloading games on Steam. Despite having a [redacted] Mbps connection, Steam downloads are limited to 1 Mbps, which is noticeably slower than other platforms. I have attempted various troubleshooting steps, including clearing the download cache and adjusting settings, but the problem persists. Interestingly, updating my network driver briefly restored the speed for one game before regressing. I am puzzled by this discrepancy and seek advice on resolving the speed limitation specifically on Steam downloads.
