My father-in-law has dementia my husband and I take care of him his last day of work was October **th **** we were going to pull him from work on the first of the year but the struggles now are overwhelming. He is very stressed out with work and his speech is also suffering. We are taking a long stretch of PTO from his job which should coincide with short-term disability after the short term disability is maxed out if he has long term disability that will take over. We are worried with any lapses between now and Social Security Disability kicking in after we have filed a claim could devastate us. Insurance for him is a huge concern if anything were to lapse he wouldn't be able to go to the doctor or receive medications. This is a very peculiar situation that does need the utmost care. We want to talk to somebody to make sure that the route that we are trying to take is the correct one. We need an appointment for him to start his Social Security disability claim and also to get a replacement card because his is very old and damaged.
