Change channels when watching cable tv ... There does not appear to be a way to change the channel when watching cable tv on my Sharp Smart TV that I just purchased. It came with a SHARP-ROKU TV remote control, no regular remote. I have looked at their (sharps) manual and searched the web but there is no way to change channels when watching cable. So I now have to go get a universal remote to be able to use my new tv? Someone dropped the ball on this. Am I incorrect? Is there a way to change cable channels with the smart remote?
There is no way to do so. You can only change from one streaming channel to another or to home. You cannot change channels when watching cable channels.
This is annoying. I should not have to go by it another remote. I have basic cable so it does not come with a cable box or cable company remote, I counted on my new tv to provide an adequate remote but it does not.
Just bought this tv last week.
Just searching the net for possible ways to use this roku remote to change cable channels.
