I phoned earlier today re my mother's Account X******** Saving. She lives in South Africa and is ** years old. She spoke to your agent re the security questions and then I took over and spoke on and off as well as held for over **mins. We ascertained that her account has been blocked as there has been no ID check. Please confirm that this is the case and how can we unblock this as she will not be able to go to any of your branches in the UK or abroad. I would also like to have my sister her daughter as power or attorney over her account as she lives in England but the agent said they would not be able to action this as her account is blocked. The agent then put me on hold again but I could not hold on for any longer so hung up. Please can you advise a way forward. In **** my mother remitted GBP ** *** to my sister in laws account in Scotland. If she wants to remit what ever she has left in her Saving account to her how does she go about it? This is all very taxing so hopefully you can help!
