Help with my Qantas Airlines issue
The issue in GetHuman-rosiesno's own words
I was trying to confirm seats for a flight on Qantas that was operated by Jetstar. I needed to get in touch with Jetstar because they had the seat map. I had been given a booking reference by Qantas for the Jetstar flight, so I called Jetstar and spoke with a person who was very kind and was able to help us out. ... We need seat assignments for Qantas Airlines flight QF **** (operated by Jetstar, JQ***) on Tuesday October **, ****. The Plane is Airbus Industrie A***-*******. The flight is confirmed, but I do Not see seat assignments We would like coach aisle seats directly across from one another, if possible. Keeping up with the changes that airlines make in planes and departure and arrival times is frustrating. And having to confirm and reconfirm is also an issue that shouldn't be. Confirmed seats should be carried over to the next flight without the passenger having to keep tabs regularly after the initial booking.
Qantas made it right by giving me the information I needed to fix the problem myself. (i.e. the booking reference * for the Jetstar flight) However, it would have been nice not to have to go through this at all.
This will be my first time flying Qantas and Jetstar.
How GetHuman-rosiesno fixed the problem
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I'm impressed with your follow through. I was able to call Jetstar, and I spoke with a nice young man who gave me the booking reference HEDMFP and assigned us to seats **C and **D at our request. So, fingers crossed, I think we are okay on this! **I do not yet know where we actually get our tickets, though. I suspect it will be at the airport before we board each of our flights. I do have E-ticket numbers on our flights document. What I see on the E-tickets are our first and last names, but we will need our tickets to exactly match our passports, I think, and both of us have the middle name of Marie...so we are Anne Marie Henderson and Elaine Marie Cavallo. I was told by someone with whom I spoke that we were booked with our middle names, but it doesn't show on our flights itinerary-Booking Reference UNE*KP. So I'm relying on whoever it was that things will be fine and we'll have our complete names on our tickets.**Thanks again for getting back to me!!!
