From Tuesday, March **th - Playstation banned my PSN account for chargebacks from Sony that were accidentally included with fraudulent purchases sent to Paypal's resolution center. Within a * hour period in the afternoon refunds had been approved by all the sellers contacted. Knowing their own policy of total banning players from every aspect of their accounts, even payment methods on the website and console, tech support on the phone hangs up without an support ID(should be the case number emailed to my request in their support center) Playsation should have rejected the refund it or contacted me for questions before deciding either way. Later tat day I got an email from playstation stating my account is banned for chargebacks. This should be easily fixabl by submitting a payment to a restricted account either by web or through a console or via phone. Tuesday evening I submitted a ban removal request to remove the ban on my account, it was late Wednesday night I got an email stating I owed $*.** and they included a link to submit codes for physical ps store gift cards (Min $** increments) so first you need to order a gift card once it arrives at your home in * days you can submit the codes and wait another day to remove the ban. First, that seems weird and shady I wanted to verify that was really the only way to fix this problem. Second, I am concerned that they will ransom my payments what if they decide $* profit isn't enough penance for these imagined crimes? Also, the chargeback wasn't for a full-price game or my PS Plus subscription, it was for additional game content. There is no way this should have resylted in removing my access to any game not already physically installed without multiplayer content. It should have resulted in removing the content in game until it is paid for. I DON'T CARE WHAT DEFINED POLICY THEY HAVE THERE IS NO REASONABLE ARGUMENT FOR A PERMANENT BAN TO MY ENTIRE ACCOUNT! This entire experience feels like a large corporation is taking lessons from criminals and found a legal loophole to engage in ransomware for existing customers.**All I want is a way to unlock my account so I have access to all the games that I've purchased in my library? IT shouldn't be this hard to give someone money to fix a stupid problem. Here it is Saturday and after marathon attempts to contact playstation each day I still have *(only * was not automated) emails from Sony. If you know who I can contact about or the best place to ask questions with rapidish(days is not an acceptable response period) answers?
