Re: Ticket number ******* ********* **:** PM***Dear Corporate Customer Service**As a small business owner myself, I am very concerned with customer service and customer satisfaction. I normally write to commend an establishment or employee for outstanding effort or performance. Today, however, I am regrettably contacting you regarding my horrible experience yesterday at your Tustin Ranch store on Jamboree Street. This is the Panera’s location I normally visit due to its proximity to my home and business. Might I add, that I normally enjoy my frequent Panera’s experiences?**I took my wife for soup and sandwich and after placing our order and filling our drinks, we began our search for a place to sit. There were quite a few empty tables, but nearly all of them were strewn with paper, plates, and cups left by previous customers. I had to clean my own table and watch others do the same. We sat down and commented that the store must be short handed due to the many tables waiting to be cleared and the debris scattered under most tables. After waiting an unusual length off time, I asked my wife to look at our receipt for the time we placed our order at. She commented that it had been ** minutes earlier. Finally, our plates were brought to our table at the ** minute mark. No soup spoon was on my wife’s tray which necessitated a trip up to the sandwich preparer. Along with the spoon I requested came a look of disgust and indifference from the irritated employee when I suggested that orders with soup should probably be accompanied with spoons. I did not display rudeness to him rather presented him with the suggestion to double check that those orders with soup include a spoon. I returned to the table to eat my meal. I have ordered Italian sandwiches no less than ten times at that location and never received my sandwich hot or toasted or even knew it was an option. I expected a cold sandwich. I lifted the bread to show my wife the condition of my sandwich. All the meat and cheese was stacked haphazardly in the center leaving most of the sandwich bare bread. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but presentation is a big part of quality control and shows caring or concern for a customer’s experience. **I am writing to inform you of this store location’s poor performance and that our normally positive Panera’s experience was ruined by our long wait, your rude*indifferent sandwich preparer, poor food presentation, luke warm soup, and quantity of litter strewn tables in need of clearing. If I take the time to write, you can be sure others shared my complaints and observations but chose not to write. I am also sure that you do not want this location and manager to damage your company’s otherwise excellent reputation and will bring this to his or her attention. Both the service and quality of food presentation has slipped.
