My wife and I are Senior Citizens. On Friday June **, **** we arrived home from Iowa City, Iowa. I’ve been at the Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, being treated for stage * cancer. We arrived home and there was a Nicor gas truck parked in front of our house. I walked up to the truck and asked the man inside the truck if there was a problem with our gas bill. The Nicor person said “no sir no problem” I was relieved because we were gone the past month and was afraid our gas was turned off. *Part of the doctors instructions for going home is to take * hot sits baths every day for a week. The doctor prescribed a powder that I am to put in the hot sits bath. I took a sits bath at noon and had hot water. I went to take another one at * PM. No hot water! *I went online and found that my bill was past due. I paid $***.** online then called to ask to have my gas turned back on. The rude young lady told me I needed to wait until Monday to call Customer Service. *I can’t wait one day let alone until Monday. I am at serious risk of an infection. Please send someone immediately to turn my gas back on. *My father in law is ** years old and he called my wife (his daughter) and said he was coming over early in the morning with bolt cutters and a blow torch and said he will remove the lock and will pay whatever damages and or fines that are charged. I don’t want him to do that, the old guy is hard headed and senile and he is **** bent on solving this problem so I won’t get another infection. *Please send someone to unlock the gas today, as quickly as possible.
