Hi, My wife is an employee of nysc. The club on **nd street - *** W **nd St, New York, NY ***** - used to be a bally total fitness club. It just recently became a NYSC. I have a membership and since i found out that it became a NYSC.. i called to cancel the membership because i can get in with my spouse. Angel said that he canceled my membership in November of ****. When i saw another charge in December **** I immediately notified them and they told me that they made a mistake and did not cancel my membership. They made a mistake and would not refund me the amount owed. They kept telling me that they cannot give me a refund. It's not fair or nice to do to a person. I went there in person and spoke to Angel and Israel... they were no help. I told them that I shouldn't be charged for their mistake. They were very unreasonable. I've went with my spouse to other NYSCs and they had no problem letting me in w*her. I would just give them my ID for the time I was there and they would give my ID back to me when I left. No questions asked and no hassel. This club is saying that they need me to give my marriage cert. to a supervisor in order to prove that I am married. I felt harassed and uncomfortable. I never had to do this before. I have been an instructor for ballys and nysc in the past. I worked for ballys as a fitness instructor for ** years teaching ** classes per week. I feel that I should've been treated different w* a little more respect. I have also taught for nysc in the passed and never had any problems. This is the first club that I had a problem with. I wish that someone would refund my money for the month they charged me because my membership should have been canceled already. Is there someone from corporate that can assist me with this?? I would really appreciate it.
