The issue in GetHuman-tdcmd's own words
I rented a car at Nu Car SFO (in Burlingame) pre paid in December and picked up the car Jan * ****. (RA No. SF***-*****). The next evening the check engine light went on and the heater*defroster would not work. I called ***-***-**** in the morning Jan ** and was instructed to bring the car back for a replacement. On the way from Oakland to Burlingame the engine overheated and many warning lights went on. I called again and was instructed to have the car towed AT MY EXPENSE back to Burlingame according to your "company policy." I was further told that once the car was checked out I would be reimbursed for the tow I paid for ($***). I left a copy of the towing statement and was told by the clerk it would take about a week to get the car checked out. I have called numerous times since then with no one returning my call. I did NOT cause this mechanical problem (the car had over **,*** miles on the odometer and I drove it less than ***miles! I merely want to be reimbursed for a tow that protected NU Car's property. Five weeks is long enough to have waited. How about some help here?
