On April 30, [redacted], was my last day of work. I attempted to reopen my previous unemployment claim, thinking it was accepted. However, when I tried to access my claim the following week, it was unsuccessful. Despite multiple attempts to reopen the claim and waiting for confirmation emails, I faced issues. After receiving a confirmation in the mail, I could finally apply for the week of May 17-23. During this time, I reached out for online assistance but only received generic advice to visit the website for guidance. Despite trying all available unemployment phone numbers, I had no success. As a result, I missed out on benefits for the weeks of May 3-9 and May 10-16.

RE: Correction Needed on Claim Application #NJS[redacted]4 I need to rectify two errors on my claim application from 7/8/20. 1. Understood the employer question incorrectly as a self-employed individual. The correct last work date is 2/1/[redacted], my last client day before COVID-19. 2. Answered "Yes" to expecting a recall, but for a definite recall date, I mistakenly entered dates 8/1/20 or 9/1/20, which is uncertain. It should remain blank. Please assist!

I had been receiving my unemployment benefits (state + $[redacted]) for a few weeks, but missed certifying for one week. I thought I could certify the following week, but that didn't work. I submitted another claim to continue getting paid, but now I see a message instructing me to contact the reemployment center. Every time I call (up to 5 times a day), I receive a message saying all lines are busy and to try again the next day. It has been almost 8 weeks since I last received payment, and the inability to reach a live person is frustrating.

My name is Garry T. and I used to work at Tamburro Realty Co. with my father, Anthony T. Due to his health issues, we had to sell our properties and I had to care for him. Despite not being able to work due to Covid-19, I continued receiving a reduced salary. After my father passed away in March [redacted], I applied for unemployment but mistakenly entered the wrong salary. Health concerns, including a kidney transplant, limit my ability to work. I am considering disability options. Please review and correct my salary information. Thank you. Contact: [redacted] or [redacted]

I resigned from my job in late March due to safety concerns at work. I was managing a group home for individuals with mental challenges who attended a day program. During the early days of the pandemic, the clients were unaware that the programs were closed. When one client became violent and threw a chair at me, prompting two incidents where [redacted] had to be called, I realized it was time to leave. Despite advising staff to stock up and be vigilant, they continued to go out daily, exposing themselves to potential risks. Feeling unsupported by the lack of adherence to safety measures and the escalating situation, I decided to leave. I believe I should have been eligible for unemployment benefits starting from March, and I am looking to apply for these retroactively.

Hello, I lost my job on March 12. Thankfully, I was rehired on May 11 with PPP funds but unfortunately, I was laid off once again on June 30. I tried to apply for NJ Unemployment benefits, but the website keeps denying me, stating conflicting reasons. It's frustrating that the site freezes, preventing me from progressing further. I have spent over 40 hours trying to navigate the poorly designed website, along with making numerous unsuccessful phone calls. I'm struggling to resolve this issue and get the support I need. My name is Michael. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have been trying to contact the unemployment office multiple times via email and phone calls but have not received any of my unemployment benefits. I have been furloughed from my job since March 17. I have reached out for help but have not received any assistance with the issue. I have been working at Box Lunch Freehold, a company under Hot Topic Corporation, since September [redacted]. After submitting a form with all my information except for my father's work history and not receiving an appointment, I have been persistently following up via calls and emails without any resolution. I am struggling to make ends meet, barely eating, and need this situation to be resolved. I apologize for being emotional, but like everyone else, I have bills to pay and a chronic illness to manage. I hope for a response and an appointment to address this urgent matter. Thank you. - C. LaMarca.

I submitted my claim on either May 24th or 25th and received an adjudication notice. I intended to file for partial benefits due to working only 19 hours that week. However, I have not received any benefits for the past three weeks, during which I worked a total of 23 hours. I expected to receive partial benefits for those weeks and the $[redacted] enhanced unemployment as well. I have been back to full-time work at my job since being laid off last winter. Following instructions, I waited for communication, but it has been 8 weeks since the adjudication with no updates. I am reaching out for assistance as I was advised to contact a representative if no response was received within 5 weeks. Thank you.

I submitted a claim on 06/29/20, only to realize a week later that it was done too early. Attempting to rectify this, I logged into my account, but found it devoid of any information. Recently, my union notified me that during the initial claim filing, a Claim Number should have been issued to me, which I did not receive. It seems that in the final stages of filing and printing my copy, I failed to complete the claim submission process. I am now unable to access the section of the account needed to make corrections and finalize the submission. How can I regain access to my account to rectify this issue?

I lost my job on June 30, [redacted], and received benefits until December. After starting a new job on January 22, [redacted], I was laid off on June 12, [redacted], due to slow sales from the COVID shutdown. When I tried to open a new claim, it indicated that I already had an open claim. However, I couldn't reopen it. I am aware that I exhausted my benefits in [redacted]. I worked for approximately 21 weeks. I'm unsure when I can file a new claim to access the federal funds. I hope to receive guidance on filing a claim as I currently can't access any information on my claim status online.

I have not received my unemployment for four weeks now. I have spoken to five agents from the unemployment office to address the issue. Every time I talk to an agent, they give me the runaround. They assure me that I will receive my unemployment funds, but after checking my bank account for the past 4 weeks, there have been no deposits. I am supposed to get my payments on Thursdays after calling on Tuesdays, but they never come through. As a school bus driver unable to work due to COVID-19, I am puzzled why there are these ongoing problems. No one picks up the phone at the unemployment office, and the agents I do reach are unable to resolve my problem.

I have not received my unemployment for four weeks now. I have spoken to five agents from unemployment trying to resolve the issue, but each time they give me the runaround. They assure me that I will receive my money and tell me to check my bank account, but nothing has been deposited in 4 weeks. I am supposed to get paid on Thursdays after calling on Tuesdays, but no money comes through. As a school bus driver unable to work because of COVID-19, I should have received my unemployment by now. Unfortunately, every time I call the unemployment office, no one answers, and when I do get through to an agent, my issue remains unresolved.

I have been receiving my unemployment benefits (state + $[redacted]) for a few weeks. However, I forgot to certify one week. I assumed I could certify the following week, but that did not work. So, I submitted another claim to continue receiving payments. Now, I see a message stating that my application is in order, but I need to speak with a representative for approval. Every time I call the reemployment call center (sometimes five times a day), I am met with a message indicating that all lines are busy and to try again the next day. It has been nearly 8 weeks since I last received payment, and I am unable to reach a representative for assistance. Is anyone familiar with this situation or have any advice to offer?

I'm experiencing difficulties certifying my weekly benefits since the website has been updated. I attempted to certify for the week of 7/18 on 7/21 at 12 pm during my designated time slot. I entered my work hours and income but encountered an issue when submitting the application. I received an email stating there were problems with my claim and I needed to complete a fact-finding questionnaire, which I promptly did. It has been a week, and I have yet to receive any updates or payments for the last two weeks (7/18 and 7/25). This is the first time I've faced such an issue after months of smooth certification. I'm unsure why my claim is now deemed ineligible, and I seek clarification on this matter.

During April, I faced a two-week unemployment period where I filed for benefits successfully. However, on May 4th, [redacted], I returned to work only to be furloughed or laid off on June 12th, [redacted]. I encountered issues refiling for unemployment as my claim seemed stuck in May. Numerous email inquiries went unanswered despite reaching out for assistance. Recently, on July 30th, [redacted], a colleague advised me to resubmit my entire claim, which was not clearly outlined on the website. Following this advice, I managed to file for the most recent week, but I am still unable to claim the previous weeks of unemployment. The system does not allow me to retroactively file for those weeks. I am experiencing financial strain and heightened stress due to this situation. Despite sending multiple emails, I have not received any responses for over a month. Your help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have been attempting to apply since 3/19. However, whenever I try to make a change, I am unable to access the system. The issue arises when the system asks me for the answer to my challenge question to reset the PIN, which is my mother's maiden name. I am certain the answer is correct as there is no variation, unless the site is case sensitive, although this is not mentioned in the instructions. I suspect a slight difference in my legal name might be causing the problem, but I am unable to log in to attempt a different selection. My name on my NJ Driver's License is Barbara J Cohn Resnick without a hyphen, on my Social Security Card it is Barbara Cohn Resnick, and for Social Security direct deposit, it is Barbara C Resnick. I believe I should use my NJ Driver's License name on the NJUI application due to the "C" at the beginning of my license number.

My name is Keri B. I have been on unemployment since April 19, [redacted] due to being furloughed from my job at PetSmart. I submitted an appeal upon receiving my determination letter in May. I received an email from unemployment regarding my appeal with the confirmation number [redacted]0. The email stated that an acknowledgement letter should arrive within two weeks, and to call [redacted] if no response. Despite multiple attempts to reach out via phone and email to different numbers at the unemployment office, I have not had any success. My appeal is based on the fact that I am only receiving $[redacted] weekly after taxes. Although I understand that weekly benefits are calculated based on last year's earnings, my situation has changed as I transitioned from two jobs to one full-time job earlier this year, which paid me close to $[redacted] weekly. I have informed my current employer about this change, but it seems the correct information has not been updated with unemployment. I am seeking assistance in finding a more effective contact number or email to address this issue promptly. Thank you for your time and assistance.

I have been unable to reach anyone from the unemployment office, and my claim status has shown as pending for six weeks. I am concerned about whether I am eligible to receive unemployment benefits. After contacting Bank of America regarding the status of my card, they informed me that I am not in their system. I urgently need clarity on my unemployment status as I have been without income for six weeks and it has become challenging to make ends meet. I fear that I may have missed important notifications or interviews. I need assistance to understand the next steps and ensure that I am eligible for the benefits I have contributed to throughout the pandemic. Additionally, I mentioned a job termination but described it as quitting; I would like to discuss this discrepancy and update my address information.

I have contacted unemployment multiple times regarding a mistake I made while certifying, causing a delay in my benefits. I have been calling since the third week of July. Every time I call, I face different recordings and long wait times. After finally speaking to someone who promised a follow-up call within 10 business days, I have not received any communication. I left my number for a callback, but the timeframe given was different than what was stated earlier. Despite being contacted once, the call was abruptly ended. I have also tried emails with no success. It's been almost a month without payment, and I am still waiting for assistance from the department. Even though a state liaison was meant to help employees, I have yet to see any progress in resolving my issue.
