I understand the challenges related to the high volume of inquiries during the coronavirus outbreak, and I have been patiently waiting for assistance. I submitted my benefits claim back in mid-March when this all started, but I have yet to receive any funds. After completing the additional questionnaire and waiting for the mail response by April 1st, my claim still shows as $0. I have been trying to contact customer service daily, but the high call volume has resulted in me being repeatedly disconnected. Despite sending emails, I have not made any progress. As a 7-month pregnant individual struggling to make ends meet with bills piling up, I urgently need to resolve this issue and speak with a representative promptly. I appreciate any help you can provide. Kind regards, Margaret H.

I recently received a letter from the IRS informing me that money was taken from my unemployment benefits due to a debt. Despite satisfying the balance owed, I have not received benefits from 4/4 until now. The letter claims I owe $1,[redacted], but $[redacted] was already deducted from my tax returns. This is the fourth claim affected, and I require assistance as I am struggling financially due to the impact of covid-19. I am unable to reach the Jersey City office to resolve this issue and desperately need my benefits for essentials like food, supplies, and rent. I believe an overpayment occurred, and I should receive a refund. Please, contact me via email or at [redacted] to update me on when I can expect to receive my benefits. My name is Jamir S. and the last four digits of my social are [redacted].

On March 22, [redacted], I filed my claim and started receiving benefits successfully after certifying. I even received the $[redacted] bonus pay for two weeks. Unfortunately, I made a mistake on the questionnaire by marking "no" instead of "yes" for seeking a job, which led to my claim being under review for up to 4 weeks. Despite no changes, my eligibility is being re-evaluated. I've been reaching out via email and phone without any luck. Even though my claim is active, I can't certify without speaking to a representative. I'm frustrated as a mother of two, especially while pregnant, for not receiving my weekly benefits and the extra $[redacted]. I hope to resolve this issue promptly.

I am currently facing issues with my claim. The system indicates that my Social Security number is not valid, yet when I attempt to file a new claim with the same number, it says an existing claim is in progress. Workmen’s Compensation payments stopped on April 8, and I have not received any checks since. I believed my caseworker would handle the appointment filing, but after reaching out, I was informed I needed to do it myself. Unfortunately, I am unable to access my claim. This situation is critical as I require prescriptions and lack the financial means presently. Kindly assist me in resolving this matter. Your prompt attention is appreciated.

I submitted my initial claim on March 23, [redacted], and it remained pending for almost a month. However, when I checked on April 22, I noticed that my claim seemed to have been deleted as it was no longer showing in the system. Now, I have had to submit a new claim, and I have confirmation numbers for both claims. I uploaded a letter from my employer confirming my furlough due to COVID-19, and I am in urgent need of assistance as my income has been affected. I am requesting a phone call to help resolve this matter promptly. Thank you. - M. Cannon

I submitted my initial claim on March 23. I check it daily and it showed as pending, likely due to the backlog. However, when I checked on April 22, the website indicated there was no claim under my name. Despite my attempts to contact the unemployment office, I couldn't reach anyone. Subsequently, in late April, I decided to open a new claim, and I have confirmation emails for both claims saved on my computer. For my first claim, I provided additional documentation from my employer about being furloughed without pay due to the pandemic. I understand there is a backlog, but I urgently need assistance as I have bills to pay and no income. It's crucial to me to resolve this matter promptly. Kindly have an Unemployment representative reach out to me at [redacted]. I mention the phone number here as I might have mistakenly entered a [redacted] area code in my second claim. Thank you for your help with this issue.

I filed my claim in the first week of April and received an email to complete it. After completing the process on April 13th, [redacted], I was instructed to claim weekly benefits. However, every time I try to do so, I am told it's not available and to contact the respective department. I have been attempting to get in touch with someone without success, and my emails have gone unanswered. I noted during my application that the childcare facility I work for does not contribute to unemployment benefits. Since the emergency shutdown of the childcare center on March 17th, [redacted], my claim has been pending for a month now. I hope this additional information clarifies my situation. (Marlissa F.)

I filed my claim in early April and quickly completed the required steps upon receiving an email to do so on April 13th, [redacted]. The email stated I could start claiming weekly benefits, but every time I tried, I was unable to do so and was advised to contact the relevant department, which I have been trying to do without success. I also mentioned in my initial application that the child care center where I work does not contribute to unemployment benefits. The center closed on March 17th, [redacted], due to the emergency shutdown, and a month later, my claim is still pending. I hope this additional information is helpful. Thank you, Marlissa Field.

Hello, my name is Robert G. I recently applied for unemployment due to the impact of the coronavirus without ever having been fired or quit a job before. It took me five weeks to receive my first $[redacted] payment on a Bank of America card. I later learned I could provide my bank account routing information and received another $[redacted] payment. Out of the five weeks claimed, I have only received two payments of $[redacted] each and one $[redacted] federal payment. I have been struggling to make ends meet, falling behind on rent, maxing out credit cards to buy food, and experiencing a drop in credit score. My family is in dire need of the benefits I am entitled to. Despite speaking with a representative who assured me the retroactive payments would be processed, I am still waiting. The financial strain has taken a toll on me, resulting in weight loss and difficulty in affording food for my pets. I am reaching out for assistance to resolve this urgent issue. I hope for a prompt resolution to this situation that has caused me significant distress. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I, Sandra C., am the sole provider for my family. Despite having three successful interviews before the lockdown, the jobs are on hold. Needing my funds, my claim history shows $[redacted] is claimable for the week of 04/25/[redacted]. Despite trying to claim my benefits online since Sunday for SSN ending in [redacted], I encountered system issues. The originally scheduled date was Monday, April 27th, but it was moved to Wednesday, April 29th, between 8-9 PM. Unfortunately, I couldn't access the system despite multiple attempts. When calling on April 30th, the line was busy, which is frustrating as it's not my fault. Please assist me in determining when I can certify and receive the necessary funds. Thank you for your prompt attention to this urgent matter.

Good morning, my name is Ana N. I have been trying to resolve my unemployment issue since I filed on 3/22. I received 2 e-adjudications which expired, and despite my attempts to contact them through email and phone calls, I have had no luck. After reapplying, completing a new e-adjudication, I am unable to claim benefits that were previously not payable. I received a prepaid card and a letter about claiming on 4/8, but the process remains challenging. As a single mom recently furloughed due to Covid-19, finding a job is difficult due to school closures. I urgently need assistance given my current lack of income. Is there a reliable phone number or email where I can reach out for help? I sincerely appreciate any support and understand the volume of cases being managed. Thank you for the necessary work in these challenging times.

Hello, I'm Robert G. I was informed that I could get assistance here. I have been trying to resolve the issue of missing claims. Since March 11th, I have only received two payments of $[redacted] each and one of $[redacted], despite submitting four claims. Unfortunately, my family missed out on the stimulus check due to tax amendments, which may take up to two months to resolve. We are struggling with rent arrears of nearly $[redacted] and two maxed-out Capital One cards at $[redacted] each. This is my first time on unemployment, and I see my colleagues receiving retroactive payments while I await responses for my pending claims. I have been eagerly waiting for a callback today since 8:10 AM without any luck. We are not on food stamps and desperately need assistance. Our car is also out of order, adding to our difficulties. I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.

I lost my job on January 16th. Although I was able to cancel my unemployment claim when I was recalled to work on February 2nd, I got furloughed again on March 24th due to Covid-19. Unfortunately, after filing a new claim that day, I haven't received any mail or confirmation. When checking online, the website says I don't have an active claim. Despite trying to call and email every day without success, I have not been able to get through to anyone. I really need help getting my claim approved so I can start receiving benefits. I have been unemployed since March 24th and would like my claim to be backdated to that date so I can claim the benefits I am entitled to.

I received a letter from the Workforce Development in New Jersey with a Claimant Identification Number [redacted]46 and have been struggling to understand it. I submitted a claim on 3/29/20 with Confirmation Number NJS[redacted]2. I mistakenly indicated that I was a gig worker instead of a business owner affected by Covid-19. I believe there are other errors in my application. Reapplying with assistance over the phone would be greatly appreciated. My cell phone number is [redacted]. Thank you for your help. -Cheryl T.

I applied for unemployment benefits in New Jersey on March 20, [redacted], for both of my part-time jobs. As a New Jersey resident working in the state, I figured it was best to file here since I have another job in NJ. I didn't receive any communication from NJ unemployment for two weeks, then finally got an adjudication email on April 11 stating it would take about 14 days for review. Fast forward to May 3, [redacted], I still haven't heard anything back from NJ regarding the adjudication. Meanwhile, my Pennsylvania claim was processed, and I got a pin from them. However, since I initially filed with NJ and not PA, my benefits only go back to April 12, [redacted]. I'm feeling lost and not sure what steps to take next.

I am experiencing difficulty with extending my exhausted unemployment benefits in New Jersey. I have been attempting to apply for an extension of my claim (Claimant ID #[redacted]) for Covid-19 PUC assistance benefits but have encountered an error message stating I cannot file for Unemployment Insurance at this stage. The message explains that I have an existing claim with a zero balance. I have tried contacting the numbers provided ([redacted], [redacted], [redacted]) for assistance with my claim to no avail. Additionally, when trying to certify for weekly benefits over the phone, I encountered an issue regarding my work status. Even though I have not worked since my initial claim in 09/01/[redacted], there seems to be a misunderstanding indicating that I have returned to work. This error is preventing me from accessing extended benefits and crucial federal PUC funds. I urgently need this resolved as my financial situation is dire due to the current circumstances. Thank you for your help.

On Sunday, April 26th, I attempted to submit my weekly claim, but the system was down the entire day. The following day, April 27th, I tried again but was informed upon logging in that the system showed I had returned to work, which is inaccurate as my company remains closed. I followed the instructions to recertify and was given a confirmation number, but I did not receive the confirmation email. Despite waiting throughout the week, I did not receive any communication or benefits from the unemployment office. When I logged in the next Sunday to file my weekly claim, I got an email stating my answers required manual review. This is perplexing as I have been consistent in my responses since filing on April 5th. Upon checking my claim status, it appears that the last two weeks' claims have not been recorded, even though I submitted them. I am uncertain about how to proceed given these circumstances.
