Good afternoon I have currently been suspended from my job for staying home with my ** year old daughter whom did not have school and I did not have a sitter for her. I called my employer advised and requested if I. Could switch a vacation day that had already been approved a week before. I've recently come back from a FMLA on January **, **** and have not missed a day until Monday March **, **** on Tuesday I was suspended. I've worked for this company for nearly two years and from a week working there the person who I was training with verbally attacked me and nothing was done. Since then it's seems like one retaliation after another one. I'm single parent who can't afford to miss unpaid days so trust me calling out is always my last resort. Please let me know if I were to be terminated would I be able to collect unemployment benefits. I am planning for whatever may effect myself and my daughter. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
