I have reported this issue a couple of times and the company tells me to do something and then closes the ticket without verifying that the issue was resolved. In March I purchased a year's subscription to moviepass and used it to see a movie - it worked fine. A month later I went to use it a second time to see a movie and I could not bring up the app - I reported this and moviepass told me to uninstall and reinstall the app, which I tried to do. It uninstalled fine but I could not reinstall it - it said "Your device isn't compatible with this version". Apparently between the *st and *nd times I tried to use the app a new version was released and the new version did not support the version of Android (*.*.*) I have on my cell phone . So I contacted them about cancelling my account which they said I could do but I would not get a refund if I had used the app at least once. So here I sit - if I cancel my account I will have paid $*** for one movie since I can no longer install the app - if I don't cancel my account I have paid for an app that was changed after I subscribed to the service which I can no longer use. What I feel would be equitable would be for them to issue me a refund (they can take out the cost of the one movie - about $*) from the refund. Otherwise they have put me in a no-win situation - in fact, stealing almost $*** from me. When I call their customer service number (which you have) I do NOT get to speak to a human - they refer me to their website and online chat which I have yet to find in a very confusing setup. I have not been able to find and successfully use their online chat - I have put in several service requests, they come back telling me things I already know but not at all helping to solve my problem and then close the request assuming all is well (or they just don't care - collect the money and the **** with the customer!)
GetHuman-anneofpb did not yet indicate what MoviePass should do to make this right.
