My complaint is with the Richmond, Indiana store and the Holiday, Ohio distribution center. I am installing a fence and have ordered a large amount of my supplies through Menards Richmond, IN store. A potion of my order was supposedly fully delivered earlier this month only to find out that a major part of it was missing. After waiting over a month for my supplies to come in I am not happy. The line posts were ordered again and still took over a week to come in from a distribution center about three hours away from the store in Holiday, Ohio. Now, the very last part of my order was due to be in today ****. Chain link tension bars. After seeing absolutely no movement from the DC, tracking my order on Menards website, I contacted the DC through the contact link on my order only to find out that after over a month since I placed the order the parts are on back order and won't be in for another two weeks. I have a deadline. I am working on a permit. I have had to make several trips to the Richmond store to pick up my supplies. I have been as patient as anyone can be but my patience has now run out. This is no way to do business and no way to treat customers. Should not take over a month to get merchandise delivered in this day and age. My project could have been completed by now if it weren't for the poor service by Menards. I will never order from Menards again when it comes to supplies for a big project. Not worth the hassle and grief. I believe I should be compensated for this mess created by Menards incompetence, some of the money I spent on these orders needs to be refunded. Part of spending our money on your products is expecting reasonable delivery of goods. Having to wait over a month only to find out that items are either missing or on back order with no prior communication to notify of such is inexcusable. My options for canceling the order and sourcing my supplies elsewhere in order to complete my project in a more timely manner have been taken from me by your negligence. I am considering reporting this complaint to the better business bureau and any other consumer outlet I can dig up.
