Well as I look at reviews and better business bureau complaints mine seems at the low end for Menard's, but I will still post it. I don't really expect customer service at places as most people think they are there to do their job which consists to as little as possible. I spend a lot of money at Menard's. We buy all our household products, building supplies, tiles any fixer upper products we are updating in our home. Today we were buying tile for the front door area. As my husband was getting the tile I went to the grocery area and purchased a can of Hunts Tomatoes. As I went to make my chili today same day... the date on the can was June *, ****. As today is Jan **, **** that makes the product pretty old since this is the sale by date, on a can. *I called to speak to a manager to let them know they have items past the sale date on their shelf's. His statement did not include I am sorry for your inconvenience, he simply said "I'll check my stock". No can I replace it next time you are in, just "I'll check my stock." Name of associate Joey Roberts at the Camby, In Menards. Asked to speak to a Manager and he stated he was a manager, end of that statement. When asked to speak to another manager I spoke to Jeff, who did provide an apology. When I called in the beginning I thought I just want them to remove the expired product and thought the empathy part would just come with the call. Before the call ended with Jeff the apology he gave was a statement only there was no sorry because with his next statement he said. I just want to say Joey is usually a very good. *Customer Service ***..... apologize don't make excuses for the employee. *I saved the lid and took picture of receipt and the dated lid and can. I will get my $*.**, but it is cold out and about a foot of snow so I will put my browned hamburger and onion with the tomato juice in the fridge and hope i get some canned tomatoes before it goes bad.*Very upset customer that is saddened by the lack of customer service.
