Product: Memorex portable cd player Model No MD****BLK. Purchased through AMAZON. order * ***-*******-*******. Purchase date August **,****. Return period has expired.*This was a gift and not opened until recently in October.*Unit does not have sound when properly turned on. I already have a similar player and am familiar with how to properly install and play a CD. However, with this new player there is no sound. This is what I have done when using the new player: *-AA Batteries installed *-A workingCD installed.*-Working Phones installed into PHONES jack.*-PowerOn(*II)*-Using the Volume control: no sound at all.*I have repeated the above procedures * times to be sure I am completing each step as per written instructions.*I want to return the faulty player to receive a replacement, but the packing materials are no longer available except the plastic enclosing the player and instructions. *Please advise me how to properly return the faulty device for a replacement. Thank You, Ken Marvel
