I went to my bank and filled out an application for a mastercard, but the bank does not actually issue credit cards. They just mail the applications. The bank said I should be contacted by mastercard within two weeks, and it has now been approximately a month and I do not know the status of my application. The mastercard website says to contact the bank to check application status, and the bank says all they do is mail the application, they don't have a way to check the status, and that I need to contact MasterCard. I called the customer service line, and unless you already have a card, the automated line says just to apply for a card online. I just want someone to tell me the status of my application.
