Hello, I recently reached out via email regarding a late fee that I had forgotten to pay due to the holiday stress. After not receiving a prompt response, I decided to call. The representative offered a $14 credit but required immediate payment over the phone. Despite mentioning a necessary deposit for the payment to clear, the rep assured me that the payment would take a few days to process. Unfortunately, this resulted in a returned check charge on my account. While I appreciate the credit for the late fee, my account now has multiple charges which are confusing to track. "I have encountered challenges while trying to apply for a credit card due to discrimination in my credit reports. I believe that everyone should have equal access to credit opportunities. Working on improving my payment history to boost my credit score. Dealing with identity theft has been a significant setback, and it feels like a never-ending battle. It's frustrating and unfair, and despite reporting it to the authorities, the aftermath is mainly collections and debts. I did not cause this situation, and I am actively seeking to rectify it. I applied for a credit card on 8/17/18, but as of 11/08/18, I have yet to receive it. In October, after contacting them, I found out that my address was incorrect. They mentioned sending a letter for identification confirmation due to my locked account. Despite my request to avoid past-due calls until the card arrived, they called me multiple times for payment. Customer service assured me of mailing details for verification, then transferred me to the fraud department repeating the same information. Despite promises of a letter, it never came. I intend to pay off the remaining balance and close the account, wishing to sever ties with Macy's entirely.

I recently tried to make a purchase for Christmas using my Macy's credit card, but it was declined. After multiple phone calls, I found out the issue was that my husband is listed as a secondary account holder. Additionally, his cell phone is listed as the primary number instead of our home phone. I have been using this credit card since [redacted] without any problems until now. My online account got locked due to too many login attempts. Despite the trouble, I was able to place my order over the phone. I only shop online a few times a year and found this experience frustrating. I've been having issues with making a payment on my account. I'm confused because my card number shows differently online versus elsewhere. I tried updating my payment source with the correct routing code, but the account number remains the old one. I've attempted to update it online, over the phone, and online again, only to have the website freeze. I might have succeeded using my phone this morning, but I'm unsure if it went through. I recently opened an account. After the cashier rang me up, they mentioned needing to make a quick call. They handed me the phone and asked for a reachable number. I provided my cell phone number, but was told it couldn't be accepted. Despite being approved for a Macy's credit card, I was informed that I couldn't use it until the next day. I had to contact the credit department to resolve this issue. I am curious about who the individual was that indicated my cell phone number was insufficient for receiving an authorization text.

I tried to make a payment for my Macy's card bill online earlier today. However, when prompted to change my password, I faced a block and was given an [redacted] number to call. I called the number but had to listen through four sales messages without reaching a representative. I was quite frustrated. I eventually called the main customer service number and settled my bill. This experience made me contemplate canceling my card. Please improve your system to allow customers to reach a representative. My wife is a loyal customer of Macy's, not me. I used a Macy's Christmas gift card for a purchase that exceeded the card's amount by $6.48, which I charged to my Macy's credit card ending in [redacted]. Unfortunately, Macy's sent my January [redacted] statement to an incorrect address. Subsequently, I was contacted by a collection agency in October regarding a $71.92 balance on my account. After contacting Macy's, they informed me that the statements had been returned to them. I then received a copy of my January [redacted] statement from UPS. Despite this, I have been unable to reach Macy's to address the $6.48 payment, remove any interest/late fees, and correct negative reporting to credit bureaus. Please confirm these issues will be resolved for me to continue my patronage with Macy's.

Hello, I am a Canadian spending 6 months a year in Florida. One of my Canadian friends mentioned that our Macy's credit card got cancelled due to inactivity of more than three months. She faced issues renewing her card since she didn't have a Florida driver's license, even though she had the card for over 26 years. Can you confirm if this is accurate? We frequently shop at Macy's and value the rebates. As per the law, we can't stay in the U.S. for more than 6 months, and this situation is not acceptable to us. I await your response.

I recently received a letter regarding the Macy's American Express card application with reference #[redacted][redacted] stating it was not approved. When I initially opened a Macy's Credit Card Account at Macy's, I was unaware that the card could only be used at Macy's department store. Upon realizing this limitation, I contacted Macy's credit department to inquire about switching to the American Express Macy's credit card. The representative advised me to close the existing account and apply for the new one either online or in-store. I promptly settled the balance on my Macy's credit account before closing it, and subsequently applied online for the American Express Macy's credit card. I am confused as to why my application for the American Express Macy's credit card was declined after closing my Macy's credit card account.

I encountered a billing issue with Macy's. On 2/28/20, I made a payment of $38.09 at the Woodfield Store, even though the bill was not due until 3/4/20. The receipt from the salesperson did not reflect the credit in the next month's bill. After speaking to Customer Service, I was informed that there was a system error that evening. Due to the closure of the store because of Covid-19, I was advised to stop the payment at my bank. The bank did so, but I later paid the current bill of $50.74 and the $38.09 owed (which the store had mistakenly handled). Despite being assured by Customer Service that I would not incur a late fee, the latest bill shows a $30.00 late fee. I will not be paying this fee as it was not my fault that the store mishandled the payment on 2/28/20. While I am a loyal Macy's customer, I am disappointed by the billing department's inaccuracies. I want to clarify that I was physically present at the Macy's Woodfield Store when I made the payment on 2/28/20, and I refuse to pay the $30.00 late fee.

I have been waiting for 18 days for the return credit to be processed on our Macy's credit card. I returned 2 gowns in one box that was sent via UPS on 3/31/20 at 10:37 am. According to UPS tracking and Macy's website, the box was delivered to Macy's on Apr.2 at 8:15 am and received by an individual with the initials "RR". Another order I returned was refunded to our Visa on 4/18/20, but the credit for these 2 dresses is still pending on our Macy's CC bill due on Apr. 26. It is frustrating not getting any response despite multiple requests sent. I hope to hear back soon. Thank you.

In March, I was late with my payment, but when I paid, I settled the full amount. March marked the beginning of the shutdown, a tough period as I am a registered nurse with eight seniors in my household. The situation remains challenging. Living in Canada and facing delays in mail delivery, my check did not arrive on time which resulted in interest charges on my statement. After explaining the situation, I sent another cheque (minus the interest), but both checks were cashed. Despite my attempts to contact customer service, I have had no success. I have evidence of both checks and their respective mail dates. Unfortunately, I cannot control the mail's delivery time. Hello, I'm reaching out regarding an order I placed that was never received. When tracking the package, it indicated that UPS would deliver the item. However, upon further investigation, it was found that UPS lost the package. The item in question is men’s Champion Navy pants in size Medium. Despite UPS' statement that additional insurance was needed for a refund, I believe this responsibility lies with the delivery service for losing my package. This incident marks the second loss of the same item by UPS. I have initiated a dispute with my credit card company for order #[redacted], which was paid for using a different Visa card. I have made multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact Macy’s customer service hotline due to long wait times and limited staffing because of COVID-19. I made a payment for my September bill between the 14th and 19th of the month. On October 3rd, I checked my bill's due date on the Macy's website and saw it was due on the 4th with a balance of $60.06. I mistakenly made a payment on the 3rd from my checking account, not realizing it was set for automatic deduction. Upon reviewing my bank statement on the 5th, I noticed Macy's had not withdrawn the $60.06 stated as due on the 4th, but instead deducted two payments of $29.67, leaving a balance of $6.12.
