The issue in GetHuman-nigarba's own words
Dear Lufthansa Management and Customer Service,*My name is Nigar. I purchased * return tickets on Lufthansa.com for my sons:***.*(Ticket no: ***-**********). Date of Birth: ** May ******.*(Ticket no: ***-**********). Date of Birth: ** January ******Before purchasing the tickets, I called Lufthansa Customer Service and confirmed that both children CAN fly unaccompanied because they were over ** years old. My sister also called on Wednesday, ** December **** and she received the same information. They confirmed that children over ** years old are considered as ADULTS and I could go ahead with the purchase. I am sure you have the recording of these conversation as part of Customer Service Satisfaction. The only document needed they said was notarized permission of parents that they can travel alone. We got these notarized permissions as instructed by Lufthansa Customer Service. **Children successfully were checked-in in Baku on ** December **** and flew to Frankfurt. In Frankfurt they were NOT allowed to their connecting flight because United Airlines (co-partner of Lufthansa) has a different policy and only those over the age of ** can fly on United. **We were never told this information: never! Not when I purchased the ticket on Lufthansa site, not when I called Lufthansa Customer Service TWICE to check, not when children checked-in at the airport before flying!**My children can only fly to Washington in * days (!) on ** December ****. Lufthansa RUINED their Christmas. Now they are stuck in Frankfurt Airport for * days without any change for clothing, alone! **I am devasted! Lufthansa failed us! Lufthansa Customer service was acting unprofessional! You need to train your agents to give the correct information! I hope you will investigate this situation. **I insist you immediately:***.*Start a Full investigation**.*Compensate and refund my tickets for ruining our Christmas, vacation plans and take responsibility for moral damages. *Please get back to me soon.**Kind regards*Nigar
