Move my truck for the city and was gruff in attitude b*c I felt the city worker had Ben unnecessarily condescending the night before. Early in the morning I was grumpy and talking to myself, or so I thought, but came to find that the worker was in the portably restroom over hearing what was never meant to be heard. As a side note my vehicle was taken without notice to an unknown location and there has been no correspondence regarding the vehicle, which was evidence in a lawsuit about to go to a hearing but did not once truck was stolen as far as I’m concerned. It was a mess and after my initial mistakes that morning l, I did nothing to provoke the continuous harassment that occurred. ... The ladwp Shut off my power after another city worker in a different division formed a grudge against me while he and his crew repaired the sidewalk in front of my house. Although I owed them enough to have my services shut off, I was working to pay something and would have that week. I watched as the city worker took revenge by calling in the favor and my power was shut off within the hour. Now they won’t allow me to pay anything but the full amount and I have been without power for weeks. The night the power was shut off, the darkness attracted violent criminals and my whole front door and frame were pushed in and destroyed. I continue to face threats everyday after sun down. The ladwp disregarded ethical concerns in exercising policy and is putting me at great risk. All I’m asking is that they turn the power back on and allow me to pay what I can until it’s paid off, just as I would have if they never turned it off. It’s convoluted no doubt and most of the unethical behavior is by far of the sidewalk repair crew’s doing and I will be following up on that for sure. Although on paper I was eligible to have my power turned off, The power was turned off as an act of discrimination and by way of unethically pulled strings. I witnessed this as did another person that does not live at my residence. I understand that the ladwp is a private company and has less oversight than a public utility co, however, thiswill not change the facts nor my commitment to vocalizing the string pulling and the harassment I experienced as a result of the sidewalk crew boss’s grudge. It went too far. **Thank you
I want the ladwp to know that I do want to pay and will. However, they are putting me at risk and making it very difficult to generate income as I need power to continue to function and power the various tools and devices I use to work and make money.
Please turn my power back on forgoing a payment plan as my resources have been drained and I am at a loss, but will take a portion or any money I earn and pay it to the ladwp.
I am not a good customer but want to be. I’ve been locked in a dispute with landlord over the rental contract stating that HE will pay sanitation charges which are a significant portion of the bill.l, a separate issue, however some thing to consider. Also that I was harassed the entire time they were here including ladwp showing up and granting the crew members request to shut off service immediately and That it was an act of discrimination. That I need power here to generate income and not be at risk due to the darkness and my security camera not being able to function. That I will follow up with the sidewalk division who bear the brunt of the responsibility. That I will pay what I can from now on and work towards completely paying the past due amount and want to do so.
I have called once to find out what the ladwp’s stance was and they completely rejected my claim, even though it is absolutely valid. Refusing to do anything until the bill is paid in its entirety. I have yet to submit a description of what happened to the city’s accountability departments and would rather not have to.
